This has already gone to absurd heights.

Offering 17M plus Finnan now is being reported.

Total BS IMO.

We need to look elsewhere.

The best thing rafa can do now is publicly declare that he is no longer interested in Barry due to the obscene amount they want for him. That way Villa will be left with a player who doesnt want to be there, the club wont be happy with him and neither will the fans. So the chances are he will leave eventually for a far lesser fee then they are asking.

O'Neill knows he can't keep him now - so surely we don't have to increase our bids.

I suggested that the other day, not on the internet but start offering less. We might eventually bid what he's worth if we keep bidding downwards.

He's not a big improvement on any of Alonso, Gerrard or Mascherano so I say feck it and you can keep him mr leprechaun. Maybe if we sold Alonso and made a tidy profit then it would be worth it, Barny is no way worth the money vile want

deco is like 5ft2 36 and slow as a henchoz tho ( no respect, but he was never the fastest)

He's 30, I am not suggesting we buy Deco, I am just pointing out the difference in prices between English and foreign players.
