Good first post Ben. Trouble is when you are sneezing at the price, you run the risk of an Alves situation where we walked away at twelve mill cos we thought he was worth ten or whater it was, then he sells for twice that a season later. I'm not suggesting that Keane is going to go for 46 mill next season, but the price is governed I think anyway by how badly we need him, and how much they want to sell him. The same thing applies to Barry.

Pour yourself a glass of water out of the tap and try and sell it. It ain't worth feck all. Take that glass of water to the desert though, to a party of people who are dying of thirst and it's worth however much cash they've got, as well as their car keys. The worth of anything is relative to the situation the buyer and seller find themselves in.

A strange analogy I'll grant you, pointless even but you get that from me sometimes. It could have been worse mate, you could have mentioned rotation in your first post  :D

I think it was a very good analogy, and i totally understand but.... Just because spurs were prepared to pay 18million for someone as over rated as Darren Bent doesnt mean we should have to pay over the odds for Robbie Keane. I rate him, don't get me wrong, and i think he would work hard and where the shirt with pride but I'm in the pro Crouch corner and feel that if he had been given more of a chance he could of worked very well with Torres, risking what could be £10million on someone else that may not partner him well is a big gamble. Do you know what i mean?

Somethings going on because its been sooo quiet, we havent been linked with any one else and times begining to tick. One could only conclude that there are on going differences on valuation but seeing as no side has pulled out its most likely a small difference. Get him signed Parry.

Yeh i know saint , apparently the medical was for eggnogg and ES just presumed it was for Keane , now a medical has been set up for monday ,so i guess he's just presuming again it's for keane . Anyway according to him , everythings agreed ,just waiting on the medical now . Hope so anyway.
