Good to see a fixture like this where "apparently" it means much more to the Scousers than the foreign players.

See Gerrard bottle this fixture yet again (first half was apparent)
See Carra unable to concerntrate during this game.
See Reina flapping, images of calamity James come flooding back, he is a good keeper usually but this is why I dont jump on the band wagon that hes the best around.
Skertel who I rate was caught ball watching all afternoon.

Aurelio did well.
Kuyt did well.

Infact the usual players I critise did well, and the rest of the team pa.

Gerrard needs to grow soem f.ucking balls for these fixtures.'

Mascha should of shut up. Like Alan Smith said though, his teamates didnt seem bothered in restraining him, until he got sent off. :no

Gut wrenching.

We lost before the ball was kicked. The players were playing against the referee from the start. silly.

It was clear to me half way around the world that Masch was not focusing on the game, but the ref and his decisions. JC & SG should had a word with him long before the second booking.

The first 3 mins was good, the rest was painful.

as he did not deserve a card for his first challenge and scholes made a meal of it . It was his first challenge ref should have a word , but instead he went trigger happy and started showing cards to stamp his authortiy . No consistency , later scholes obstructs play deliberately and normally would be carded but is not . I hope bennett is banned from refeering high profile games , and i think clattenburg has done well since the derby game as he was spot on yesterday with his decisions in the chelsea vs arsenal game

Overall the entire side themselves because it was United. When we did attack and pressure them, we looked as dangerous as them. It doesn't make a blind bit of difference if you lose 1-0 or 100-0, you still get no points so we should of gone and tried to equalise at 1-0 down, instead we looked far to happy with a 1-0 defeat. Embarrassing we were.

ARbeloa is sh!te and has been all season , the first goal would have been avoided if he had gone for ronney instead he just stood his ground . The only want WHO STOPPED GIGGS AND RONALDO ON THE LEFT WAS KUYT , he was making countless tackles and tracking back , evra did not have much joy there too , seems LFC fans always use kuyt as a scapegoat but after reina , and babel he was prob our best player today .

Is anyone else getting fed up with our defense's inability to play the ball out of our own end properly? Maybe it was more apparent against Man Utd because they constantly pushed us but it always seems like our defense always resorts to just hoofing it up the field, majority of the time giving it away to the opposition. I think that Agger, and to a certain extent Skrtel, have been the only ones who would ever move it up the field, keeping possession and passing it off ON THE GROUND.

After Mascherano got his first yellow, which was completely ridiculous might I add, I always had a feeling he was going to get another. He got really angry about that first yellow the second was on its way sooner or later IMO.
