Hello everybody. I am new at this forum, and how you can see, I love Atletico de Madrid. Every year, that rumors appeared, but this year I think it is real, and not only rumors. Y always liked Liverpool, it is a magic team, and if Fernando Torres have to go to other team, the only team I want Torres play for is Liverpool.

P.D. Sorry for my english.

thats cool f9torres, glad that you think that, also though everyone a good point tho is that kuyt could be a baros style effect player, playing it back and shooting from the side of the box in effect of a sort of linking striker role, where as they could use torres as "the fox in the box" to finish off what kuyt cannot, also voronin, has plenty of pace so technicall although it would be nice to have owen we dont need need him also if liverpool are still looking at diego milito, he would be just as good!

su ingles es mejor que el mi espanol.

Also, I think that the first words that people learn in English must be "sorry for my english" because it seems like everyone knows how to say at least that.

If he does sign I feel gutted for Atletico fans.... just as i must admit i felt gutted for arsenal fans when henry left..... reminds me of the time we nearly lost our No.1 man ........so genuinely hope you A.M buy some top player and that Sergio Aguero fills the vacuum!
Torres bashing is not cool by the way.....He's going to great for us...i understand people being cautious because i can't even claim to have watched him as much as Sabre or others but im sure even sabre will be willing him to be a success here if he joins!!!!
While i believe players like Gerrard Alonso and kewell will Have wonderful seasons this year...why - its natural that when i player or person with a reputation joins your gang or team you always want to impress them and always want to let everyone else know you are just as good....... The torres deal is positive

yes if he was injury free, but the only problem with owen is he has been so critical in being injured, if i were to have a striker with pace from newcastle i would take martins, because we fail to forget, he is a hell of a lot like etoo, except he is stuck at a woe betidend newcastle!, but deffianately mick o dywer i will agree with you anyone would like owen injury free, which he has become more and more susseptable to, because defenders know what he likes to do, which is use his pace, and he has lost a little speed to compare to what he used to be like

I think that Torres will go out because Forlan is very near, and nobody pay 20.000.000€ for a striker with Torres and Aguero in your team. And our economy is not very well to pay this. I have read that Torres is a man of 15 goals for season. Well, but you only have to see who play with Torres. An example, Samuel Eto'o when he played in Mallorca, he was a man of 13 goals for year, now, with Ronaldinho, Messi, Deco, etc, he score 25.

That's a good point mate.

Do you think Torres is more suited to Spanish football or English football? Morientes came to Liverpool with all the qualities needed for the Premiership, but he struggled. Do you see Torres being a success?

We have another Spanish friend on here, Sabre, who thinks Torres will not succeed at Liverpool. It would be good to hear what you think.

Hello f9Torres, welcome to the forum.

Is it true that Atletico have also signed Riquelme?

let us not forget torres may be a man of 15 goals, but i think its where he likes long balls over the top to latch onto if you play a 4 3 3 for example and have him and owen upfront, play crouch behind they will be annoying to cope with if they play a ball up the field, crouch knocks it on owen and torres would be loving there jobs :P :D

Well, I think that his kind of play is perfect for the Premier. Morientes is a forward of area, who has a good kick, but not a lot speed, or mobility. There are few strikers in the world as quick as Torres. He has power, he has a lot of mobility, but if the team need he plays in the area, he plays in the area. In his second year in Primera Division, he scored 13 goals, to the first touch. This year he had played more out of area because of Maxi and Petrov injuries. My opinion is that Torres is the perfect player for the Premier, and if he goes, i hope not to be wrong. I would likje to explain better, but sorry, i can not.

Hola Colchonero, another Spaniard (from San Sebastian) here. Be welcome.

Well I just was warning my friends around here not to put too much hopes in Torres being the mesiah of strikers. I think he has dribling, pace, and skill but when it comes to finnish he's not that kind of killer many people are waiting for.

If you think the opposite the people will be happy to hear it.

I have an in depth question for you. Torres is a 23 year old player and still young, what would you say it's been the major improvement in his game in the last 4 years? what aspects of his game has he improved?

Thank you.

Well, it is a rumor. Probably Forlan sing, but probably Roman Riquelme to. I don`t know how of real is this information, but if they are going to come with the money of Torres, I prefer Torres stay in and not to sing them.

:D ...i don't like the idea of crouch in the hole... crouch playing in the hole is a bit like a stop gap measure IMO... I would still play 4-4-2 with a withdrawn striker... either torres-kuyt, torres-crouch with torres as a withdrawn striker... well if it's torres/kuyt pair either one can be a withdrawn striker... my favourite midfield pair will be gerrard/masherano simply because i think their styles compliment better... mascherano's defensive play is a bit better than alonso's so this will let gerrard do all his thing like passes and running at defenses...

now we could play 4-5-1 for tight games with masherano, gerrard and alonso in the middle... in this case the lone striker will be torres cause he seems to have the qualities of a CF more than kuyt does in this case our wingers need to support torres in attack so that we become 4-3-3 when we attack... which reminds me... whe should get mancini!  :nod

Hola Sabre. Well, this year, Torres has scored almost all the 1 vs 1 with the goalkeeper. This is one of is improvements. Now, he see the play much better than years ago, he knows when he has to do a thing a when has to tho the other. The principal problem of Torres is that in many times, he had to take the ball in the middle of the field, ¿to haggle? 4 or 5 opponetns and score. It is imposible. I think that with better player around of Torres He would be one of the most importants players in the wolrd. The only player that has been in a level seem Torres is Maxi Rodriguez, the others very far, and it is very difficult play when the other team knows that you are the 90% of the team.
