Soul Glow tw@t of the highest order see that kunt stopped us on two occasions faking injury, what a total cheating feck horse, then he went collecting bottles of Seven up to show to the ref after he had been kicked in the balls.
There are two tw@ts in England Dogbreath and Ronaldo who wears mascara and lipgloss. Pair of kunt horses.
Give me our Carra who wipes his snot on his shirt sleeves any day of the week.
Even if we never won another thing I never want cheating b@stards like that pair at our club never, Shankly would turn in his grave.

couldnt have said it better

The problem tonight was.....

we never looked like scoring...

Apart from the save Cech pulled off Gerrard's left foot volley which was at most considered a half chance, we never created anything at all. Gerrard is good and can play in a number of positions but no more right midfield for him in the return leg.. we need him in the middle. At the current state of the team, the most likely way i see us scoring against them is via a Gerrard burst into the box.

A couple of seasons ago, it was traore (which was highly justified 99% of the time), now its Zenden. It seems that people need to point fingers and find a scape goat everytime results dont go our way.

Certainly, half the team did worse than Zenden tonight.

Bellamy was completely non-existant.

Macherano was not his usual composed self, gave the ball away and lost pocession more times than Zenden. A couple led to some pacy counter attacks by the Chavs and luckily for us, they could not take advantage.

Arbeloa was like lost sheep out on the right against joe cole. hopefully, finnan gets over his back problem for the second leg.

Agger was completely out-muscled and out-paced by Dogbreath and he would have to bear some responsibility for cole's goal. What Ciggy said in an earlier post was right.. if only hyypia had alittle more pace, i think he would have dealt with Dogbreath much better than Agger did.

the only ones who did alright were alonso, Reina and Kuyt. Gerrard needs to play in the middle for the return leg and put pennant on the right. we certainly missed his runs into the box tonight. Everytime Chelski attacked, i had to hold my breath, but when we attack, the only person i could see a goal coming from, was from Stevie.. we really are lacking a goal threat. Hope Rafa plays Crouch next week.

As the situation stands, we need to score next week, as well as keep them from scoring. Dont want to be caught out like what PSV did to Arsenal. If the chavs score one at Anfield, we'll have to hit back with 3 in regulation time.

The tie is still firmly in the balance though i must admit Chelski has the upperhand now. Maureen has a straightforward enough job at Anfield next week while Rafa really has to get his formation and tatics spot on.

The deal with Zenden was that he had so much ball, so much oppurtunity to set us up, and not once did he put a decent ball in, more often it went straight to a defender, there was no fizz on it, just floated in, what would that achieve?? yeah arbeloa, bellamy and Agger were poor, but that doesn't excuse Zendens ineptitude.

I wouldn't call it ineptitude, Zenden just didn't look confident. Even when he'd beaten his man he wanted another touch to be sure.

If he starts next week I'll be f*cking stunned. Others are right though, he was not among our worst players. At least he made himself available. First half hour he looked like our only attacking option.

We can over turn that lead.

But thats the only positive out of the match. I dont know what was going on with the team, the only player that seemed to do anything yet again was gerrard.

And why ohh why, do they insist on using Zenden to cross balls in?

Maureen takes the fookin biscuit, he really does. He's just been whinging about they should've had a pen for Arbeloa's hand ball and it wasn't even in the feckin' box. Then he starts goin' on about the 'phantom goal' as he likes to call it from two years ago.

Well Maureen I'll let you into a little secret:

IT WAS 2 BLEEDIN' YEARS AGO. GET OVER IT FOR FECKS SAKE! :rasp

As for our performance too many just didn't show up tonight. When most of our play goes through Zenden then we're in trouble. In Rafa's defence he was probably only there because of Finnan's injury and it just highlights how weak we are in that position currently. I was disappointed with the pace of our attacking play. We've been able to attack teams with a lot of pace at times this season but tonight we just looked void of ideas and very pedestrian.
This time next week with a bit of a tactical rethink and the return of Finnan I think we'll be looking at another final.  :buttrock

I agree mate. Perhaps another option might have been better, but he wasn't in the 3 worst players list whatsoever, IMO.

Alonso had a shocker as did

Duk, watch the game again, and we'll discuss it. Thank you. I disagree.

Sabre Alonso was pi$$ poor tonight, Rafa should have hauled him off before 82 min.

I disagree with you their, he was worse than Zenden and on par with Arbeloa tonight.
