BARCELONA 1-2 LIVERPOOL - ALL REACTION HERE......

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Eto'o has gone on tv saying there is a split in the Barcelona camp. Calls Rijkaard a bad person, Ronaldinho selfish, says there's a war that isn't his - He talks to the media on http://www.marca.com/ (channel 3 on the little tv box)

With Google translator, so don't blame me for the stuff that doesn't make sense:

"Samuel Etoo opened to the box of the thunderclaps two days after his refusal to jump to the field before the Racing. The Cameroun, visibly gotten upset by the last events, went away warmed up and he loosen with declarations that are going to bring much tail and that probably cause a schism in Dog Barça. After the presentation of a book from aid to Cameroun, the forward responded to the questions of the journalists with several holders: “In Barcelona there are two groups”, “It is necessary to always think about the group and soon about the money” or To go to the press room to say that I have not wanted to play is of bad person”. Surely that these words do not happen unnoticed to their adressees, Fran Rijkaard and Ronaldinho Gaucho. The Cameroun began his monólogo commenting which two sides in the Barcelona exist and that those that has spoken on plants will have to be those that gives explanations: “The one that said what said is the one that it has to speak with you. I am not going to give no explanation to nobody. I will only give an explanation to the club if me it requests it”. Later, the African forward revealed that in the equipment there are two groups, one faithful to the president and other related to ex- vice-president Sandro Rosell: “In Barcelona there are two sides, two groups, one is the one of the president and other related to another person, the others are those that are worried, but must know that I have returned. The injury is not going to last all the life. What hurts are my goals and I am going to continue marking”. Recadito to Ronaldinho Also it sent a message to Ronaldinho, that had criticized its resignation to play before the Racing: “If a companion says that there is to think about the group, he is the one that he has to think about the group. But I always think first about the group and soon about the money. I always think about the group. That is the unique thing that has bothered to me”. It did not doubt in sending another message to Rosell and Rijkaard. On first it commented: “There are two faced people and all the woods me I to them take. To see if somebody has eggs to say me it to the face. When he was my head nor saluted to me. And he happens behind to give woods me. That is of bad person”. And of the Dutch it sentenced: “To go to the press room to say that I have not left to play it is of bad person. I always have fulfilled my companions. What it has happened you ask it Rijkaard. If I leave and I speak, people will see what is going to happen."

As I've said early in this thread it's a tradition in Barcelona to exist unrest and inner fights. The problem with Eto'o is that he says exactly what he thinks, and when it comes to big football clubs, that's a problem

Translation of an article of mundodeportivo.es

Samuel Eto'o didn't bite his tongue (didn't shut up) this morning in Vilafranca del Penedés(Barcelona) and has left some clear messages to Ronaldinho, Rijkaard and Sandro Rosell (the main oposition to presidency man). The player did not mention the names of those 3 men, but he made it clear who were the receivers of the message.

Samu (Etoo) has spoken about Ronaldinho, saying that "it hurted" to hear Ronaldinho saying that the most important thing was the group not the coming back of a player. "If so, he should think more on the group" (meaning he should be less selfish if he dares to say that)

Etoo said that he "forgives but doesn't forget", "there's people who are concerned with my return" and "I come back to score a lot of goals". He said all this quotes during the introduction of the book "Cameroon" (his country). He also said (about Rijkaard) that "if someone shows up and says that I refused to play then he's a bad man". A clear message to his coach.

But if the forward was harsh with the Dutch and Ronaldinho, he was especially demolishing with the ex vicepresident Sandro Rosell. THe forward even suggested that there's "a two sided war" refering to the group that supports Laporta the current president, and the ones who support Rosell the former vicepresident, the man who brought Ronaldinho.

About Rosell he was clear enough "When he was my boss he didn't even say hello to me and he gave me stick when I wasn't on front of him" and he said in a defiant mood "If he has the eggs to do so, let him say everything to my face (in front of me).

----

Classic Barcelona "Entorno". Many interest, many men wanting to control de club, many men creating polemics, and Eto'o is just too honest, or perhaps too idiot to talk about what everybody knows.

More later :)

If Eto doesnt play then its a plus but doesnt really change anything.  They are still awesome and Saviola is more than capable and they have the great messi back.

Sounds to me as if someone is angling to get shut.  Making Eto'o out to be the baddie.  The (Gallas) situation, this does not seem like...it does appear to be a turn of events worth monitoring, if only for the disruptive effects on the rest of the squad there. Either way the fuss will create a stink.

Eto'o snubs chance to play

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has revealed Samuel Eto'o refused to make a substitute appearance against Racing Santander.

Eto'o snubbed the opportunity to play the last five minutes of Barcelona's 2-0 win at Camp Nou.

The Cameroon ace has only recently returned from a serious knee injury he sustained in the UEFA Champions League against Werder Bremen.

Eto'o made a brief return against Osasuna last weekend, but he did no want to take any risks against Santander.

The African informed Eusebio - a member of the Barca coaching staff - he did not want to come on.

"He did not want to come on, I don't know why. He did not tell me, he told Eusebio," said Rijkaard.

"Am I annoyed? It is a shame because every minute he plays can be very important."

Barca president Joan Laporta defended Eto'o, saying it was natural that he was unsure about playing after such a bad injury and he is confident Rijkaard will resolve the problem with the striker.

"Samuel has suffered for four months and to be happy he needs to play and score. We have to be on his side," said Laporta.

"And Rijkaard, a master in these matters, will know how to iron things out and find the right solution."

Wouldnt take no notice to that article he will defo play, cant believe how long its taken to actually play the CL games again even though this season has flew over.
the year we won it it seemed like the games came quick and fast, now before we know its arriving a week tommorrow  :sniffle
Better get back to our best and fast hope the trip to Portugal does the trick.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
