Are you talking to me?

I thought this was a thread about talking about the upcoming games between our teams?

I agree...wtf has politics/insults got to do with a bit of banter or intelligent discussion over the game. Keep it informative or witty and all will be well. otherwise f**k off! Disgraceful some of the comments in ere....and i thought the Turks were bad. Mind you, it'll no doubt intensify nearer the time. People here generally conduct themselves with a bit of class...Its how respect and good reputations are made.

Well i'm slightly puzzled as to whether these comments are aimed at myself. If you read my introduction on this thread you'll see i'm not here to insult anyone. I have also disowned one Barca tw@t on here already.

If you want me to continue to respect Liverpool as i have done, i expect the same respect aimed towards Barca.

Wollyback it also shows what we never should against them, waiting on our own side and letting them having the ball. It's a good video, because it shows how much we have improved as a team defending, in terms of pressure, and in terms of helps in the pressure. If you press correctly, there's not team that can move the ball that comfortably. It's brilliant football of Barcelona yes, but it's also a poor defending of Houllier's LFC, they move the ball  walking!, that's our fault aswell!

Meaning we should have all the respect you want, but we must be as shameless as if we had Manure or Chavski on front of us.

watching them pass the ball around at will without a single serious challenge for the ball from a red shirt...    can you imagine that happening for more than 5 seconds these days with sissoko and gerrard on the field?

we have become a very physically strong team in the last few years and can play some very aggressive football when we need to - closing down opposition players, not giving them any time or space on the ball. any barca fans watching that vid thinking that's what they'll be doing again early next year is in for a very big shock.

Woollyback, Barca could easily do that to Liverpool again. The key to the game for you is closing down as quick as you can and not letting a single player stroke the ball around.

i genuinelly don't think you could do it to us again. we are a much much better side than 2001 or whenever the video was from. there's no way you will be allowed so much un-challenged posession and space

Our pressure nowadays it's not a matter of names. Of course Sissoko has long legs, and Alonso has good positioning, and Gerrard tackles very well, it's just that we do a better pressure, from Bellamy, to the last of the defenders. A run of pressure of the forward might be clapped and cheered by the crowd, but if that run is backed by their team mates it's a more effective pressure. That collective pressure is what we do much better now, rather than specific names. And that's why they won't do that again

BTW, back in the 2001, we won, didn't we?  :D

The name of the dictator wasn't used first by one of the local posters, you muppet. And you keep not talking about football. And BTW calling Sissoko a whore. You're making merits for a couple of warnings and perhaps a ban.
