King Kenny for me. After Bob Paisley and chairman John Smith met Jock Stein at Parkhead in August 1977 to agree a deal for Dalglish, Paisley turned around to Smith and advised that they get out of there quick as in his opinion they had robbed Celtic (even though they broke the British transfer record with the £440,000 purchase).
History shows that it was the best piece of business ever done by Liverpool. They sold Keegan for £500,000 to Hamburg so ended up with a better player in Dalglish and £60,000 profit, which would have paid alot of wages in 1977 (win bonus for winning the european cup that year was around £1,600 per player).
