It's all well and good Rafa and Cisse saying everything is good between them but does Djibril have a future at Anfield in Rafa's mind? ???

Truly, I don't think anyone can say to be 100% certain, but i'm leaning towards, yes he will. However, as much as some people may criticise him, it seems to me that he is the only striker that seems capable of scoring at the moment. Didn't see the Blackburn game so I'm not going to comment on it.

Come on guys ... I know some of you all like Cisse , or Nando , or PC but they all are Liverpool players . They are all still learning how to play each other . Wait til Jan ... I think all three of them will be better ...addition Rafa is going to buy some new players in RM and CB . Then you will see the different .

What planet are you from? He was trying to sign him all summer. Also, Cisse isn't good enough.

To be fair he is a bigger goal threat than Crouch but Crouch is 3 or 4 times a better footballer. Cisse is an extremely average player with exceptional pace. He is also a :censored: and will not put chances away where he has to challenge centre halfs and put his head in where it hurts, he's not good enough.

Morientes on the other hand has all the class in the world. He is unbelievabley skillful, a superb finisher (when confident infront of goal), has a brain and can link up with other players.

He looked excellent against Blackburn with the exception of his finishing.

As for Cisse though, the lads a waste of space. If thats your idea of a player who is good enough then you have extremely low standards.

Typical Stu the red post, its not a chip youve got on that shoulder lad, its a f@cking big spud.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

There's never a lot of grey in Stu's thinking. Players are either top notch or tosh depending on whether he takes to 'em or not. I've always said that Sami is not quite as good as Stu thinks he is, similarly Cisse is nowhere near as bad either.
I think we overpaid for him as I've said a thousand times, I also think his attitude is as dodgy as his finishing on occasions. He's not a waste of space though, he plays for the French national team for a start which would suggest he's not without a modicum of ability. If played consistently as a central striker he would actually change the way teams defended against us. They wouldn't be able to defend such a high line as they can with only Crouch and/or Morientes up top so his mere prescence would assist either of the other two. He's got to play though.

i've said for a while that i'm not a huge cisse fan but at the moment he's got to play upfront as he's the best option we have got. the facts don't lie. the guy's scored 11 in 21 games for club and country so far this season which doesn't look too bad to me.

Really glad for Cisse scoring on Sat!
I cant see anyway raffa can leave him on the bench now...theres just no excuse!
I agree with Mick and lynds in that Cisse and moro should be given a chance to play up front together,i just dont think crouch has a goal in him at the moment! Lets hope its just bad form for him,i dont buy into all this'he holds the ball up well shi.te'
The bottom line is that a strikers job is to score goals, any other qualities in their game are second to that!
Was at the game on sat and was disgusted to say the least at the Blackburn fans chants to Cisse,i was in the main stand at the corner overlooking them! The aggro was a laugh i suppose but theres aggro and theres below the belt!
So happy that cisse answered them in the best way possible by scoring and doing a wee dance to sicken the cu.nts!
You could see in his face how much it meant to cisse when the pool fans chanted his name he looked really touched!
id say saturday has been a massive lift for cisse and in my opinion if raffa does not give the man the run of game he needs right now he's a twa.t!!

We can't lose cisse from now being. A match winner proved that he's still our target man.

I hope Rafa will keep him and he will definitely score at wednesday match. The man should dump will be moro.

I think Cisse deserved to score not due to his good play but rather to shut up the Blackburn fans who showed no class by chanting about the leg. That is not really right though. The fact is that he did not play well, even though he was under pressure to perform.

More worringly for me is that Crouch seems to be losing confidence after the England matches and Blackburn's did nothing to help that. What cofidence gives you more than anything is aggression (towards goal) and that is what he needs more than anything.

I hope him and Moro do start and bag a few goals, I'm not the biggest fan of his but he has got a wicked shot on him, if he gets a couple it could set him off.

Moro - needs confidence
Crouch - :censored:

Cisse missed some sitters on Saturday. I still don't rate him (can't believe people raved about him before he came here),

Morientes has been consistently terrible - I think we bought a dud.

Crouch - will never be prolific over a long period.

Rafa has made many big mistakes in his signings and is still wanting in the premiership. We were terrible against blackburn.

Cisse still has a way to go and a lot of people to prove, a winner on saturday was a start but for 70 minutes there was nothing but lazyness and moaning only when the blackburn fans chanted did we see a reaction out of him, if it takes that to get a 14 million pound striker going then there is something wrong. He needs to give his all, all game, i agree with Stu on this one he is an average footballer at the moment but has exceptional pace which we should use to exploit the oppasition, and if your not a natuarlly gifted footballer you have to have something about you and have to give defenders a hard time off the ball, if he closed down and worked harder he would have 50% less critics than he had now.

Cisse does himself no favours at times and cant expect the fans to get him going all the time, if he give something back from the off, he would find his job a lot easier.

Also CGGY, saying hes gone through his worse year ever was a bit far fetched, ok he broke his leg and it muct have been traumatic but hes young and will get over it and already has, he has a goal in a european cup final penalty shoot out and a winners medal to prove it and the winning goals in the super cup, oh an not to mention the 40 odd grand he gets a week and the title lord of frodsham, oh and getting married.....Come on it wasnt that bad a year, i would have quite happily swopped the year ive had for his in a second, lets see how he copes with a shitty job and :censored: loads of debts!

I personally think Cisse can be a crowd favourite, he just cant turn it on when he feels like.

No one wanna see Cisse partner Pongo up front? They seem to be the best of friends, who knows things might work out.

wise words mate. it was also touching the way that, when the tannoy came on to announce a sub late on,  cisse' had such a look of releif on his face that it werent him that was being changed.  :D

i think the lift from hearing his name chanted plus the goal plus.. the public display of support between him and rafa, can only mean good times ahead.

cisse deserves to shine and i for one feel he's about to let rip!
