not the end of the world if he goes, would be sad, but then would get over it, get about 35mil benitez knoews his stuff and if gettin rid of gerrard is part of his revolution then so be it.

if he gets his reported 80,000 a week then other players wil start to want bigger wages. PLus i reckon the situation will come up year after year no matter how long he signs for.

i think its down to those damn sfx agents did the exact same with owen, there just looking for the money.
