Good morning all.
I sit here at home, drinking lucuzade, hardly able to talk and having last nights post match drinks as just a distant memory that belong to someone else. (Also feels like a few homeless people slept in my mouth and didnt clear up when they left.)

The dilemma i find us in now is what we do in the summer?

We were always gonna make wholesale changes, we need to freshen up drastically, but half the players i was gonna say to get rid of prooved that they are 100% liverpool through and through (if you cut them in half, they'd bleed red.)

Djimi Traore: Has been immense in the two legs against Chelsea, if he carries on improving like that then hes a keeper. We also have Warnock in left back backup so no need to by there.

Igor Biscan: Always loved the guy (got his name on my shirt) but the guy was a useless lump for the most part. Then comes this seasons Champions League. How can he not deserve a 12 month extension after a result like that? We are well covered in the centre of midfield so no real need to strentghen there.

Steve Finann: Last season he was lookig like another waste of space. This season hes been the best right back in the country barr none if you ask me. Maybe we could use a back up right back but Finnan is going nowhere.

Carragher: Need i say more? Hes fantastic, words cant describe how good the guy is.

Hyypia: Ok, gettnig a little long in the tooth, but are you gonna tell me he cant play another season?

Kewel and Nunez: Ok, now it gets more tricky, but in the last two games Kewel has shown that he has a mature head on his shoulders and he done good the last two games. Wortha second chance if he clears up his injury.
As for nunez... heck i dunno, but i stillr ate the guy. First seasons are never great, but hes starting to come good.

Garcia: Fantastic, best game hes payed for us so far, even starting to get really stuck in. Gave the ball away a bit and doesnt wanna hoof it but gave 100% non stop.

etc etc

So, where do we stand now?

Whos gonna go:
Diouff, Dioa, Smicer, 2 from Le Tallec, Pongolle and mellor. Cheyrou.

I dunno what im saying, i doubt anyopnes reading all this, im very hungover you all understand.
In a nutshell, if we can translate what we do in CL to the Premiership, then in my opinion we have a team that is NOT 30something behind Chelsea, and bring on next season!!!!!!!

(one mroe thing, pay no attention, but if we won it and werent in CL next season, id be gutted but i WANT that premiership trophy!!!)

I expect some of above will be sold and from rather harsh clinical view this success will hopefully bring better value for money

It still doesn't solve the winger, striker, GK and fast CB problem! We need these if we're to improve next term. Igor is a fill-in, Traore is really a CB, and Nunez is toothless. Gk situation is sad, as before GH wrecked Jerzy he was the best 'keeper in Britain. (And about another £125m in the back rocket.) Rafa will sort it, doubtlessly with a few suprises thrown in. Hyypia will probably stay for 1 more season, depending on his reaction to being told he's backup! Lets be fair to the lad - he's reacted well to Pellegrino's arrival, and competition is always good for the team. Up the 'pool!

i think Rafa has said that there will be 12 - 15 players coming in and 6 or 7 going out.....

the only ones confirmed to be leaving is Smicer. Diouf is, according to Bolton, a nearly done deal and a Diao is probably following him....the rest, who knows! :lookaround

12 - 15 players coming in??? I dont think so. Thats a lot of players. I would think 4 at the most. Rafa is moulding the team. He might win the European cup with this team so he wont need to change a lot.

Paul Harrison, Mark Smyth, Patrice Luzi, Richie Partridge and John Otsemobor all released today. Looks like it could be 12-15 players out (not in) and 6-7 coming in (not out).

I think we will see 10-15 players leaving, and 4-7 players coming in. I think we will have 4 players that can come straight into the first team, a GK, CB, and two wingers either side, obviosuly if Gerrard leaves then we will buy a quality CM.
