Definately had a swelling on his face before the game. Maybe someone (probably Lynds) will be able to give us the lowdown.

Maybe there's something wrong with my telly then if I'm the only one who noticed it. I'd have a tenner that I'm right though.

well I've had that and fair play to the bloke for playing at all. You wouldn't wish it on your worst eneny. Can I also just say WHY IS IT SO SOMBRE ON HERE? I THOUGHT WE WOULD BE FEELING PRETTY PLEASED WITH OURSELVES. Don't listen to Mourinho, 0-0 is a great result for us. We need to beat Chelsea AT HOME to reach the Champions League final. Would you have taken that before the game started tonight? Not many Benny.

Eeeerily sombre in here. I expected it to be high fives and yahoos! I guess everyone is stewing over Xabis' booking.

Just remember this is a Chelsea team that have lost just 4 (one of these was a meaningless game vs Bayern when the tie was done) games all season long. They have been awesome (in a quiet kind of way) all season long.

I really fancy our chances in the 2nd leg. This lot expected to beat us tonight. Just listen to the likes of Terry talking about winning with a two margin before the game + Mourinho whinging about our slow, slow play tonight. The guy is a little rattled and i don't think this lot will be looking forward to playing in front of the noisiest crowd they have heard all season which is what they're gonna get at Anfield.

Bring em on...

Yeah Mourinho was giving it Larry Large at the end. Fair play, if they can go to Anfield and get a result then they deserve to go through, no argument. But let's be serious here, would they have taken 0-0 before tonights game? Of course not. Would we? absolutely. So whichever way you care to look at it, and only a fool would claim it to be all over, we are in a stronger position than we were at 6 o'clock tonight.

I would say both teams would be fairly happy with the result, but we are under slightly more pressure because we have the possibility of conceding an away goal.

One thing that the players need to keep in mind is not to get too excited at Anfield, the crowd will me awesome I imagine, but if we play with our hearts instead of our brains, we will lose, no gung ho stuff please.

But I have no doubt that Rafa will prepare them well, he really knows how to play it well in Europe.

Well as we already discussed the man had an absses removed from his mouth, and was probably shot up on some novacaine, which WOULD impair his decision making, though not really affect his game play.

Not slaggin gerrard but even if he stays I think JC must be captain next season. He is becoming a bit of a Tony Adams (thats meant as a compliment, TA was class).
