If his problem is fittness he could still get there yet

He needs to get himself motivated more. There are lads out there that dream about wearing the Red shirt, Kewell should show some respect by giving it his all a bit more.

Here we go again. Some are starting to make conclusions based on whether players smile or not.

Did you watch the interview on radio A.B.? I am not jumping to conclusion...just expressing what I saw. What will happened in the future is not for us to control so I am not gonna be bothered just yet!

motm was clearly Hamann or Gerrard

Yea I agree. I thought Carra had a great game as well. He must be our player of the season so far.

Carra played very well without being spectacular...our defence played Reyes and Henry off the park today, only a brilliant move by Pires and Viera (what a cheat!) resulted in their goal and the ONLY treatening move by Arsenal all day. Their other shot on goal was by Henry from centre circle and the ball flew 10 yards off-target!

I'm not...he's probably ****** with the interviewer for suggesting that he will be happy with finishing 4th. His celebration of both our goals was a delightful sight to watch for us fans :)

I'm gonna have to give the credit to Rafa, cus he knew exactly how to stop Arsenal.  With his gameplan even with a team of replacements we still looked threatening the whole game and walked away with the 3 points.  Of course I don't mean that our players played like replacements.  We kicked ******.  Made my week

Waking up at 3 am did the trick for Rafa. Great manager, just what we needed.

I've seen some very interesting/stupid comments by people in this thread. Bottom line is we overcame a very good side that were expected to beat us without our two/three main goal scorers.

Neil Mellor worked very hard up front giving both Campbell and Toure a tough time and was the targetman we needed to base our attacks on.

Pongolle was played out of position but still worked hard and did well, only after a decent run will i judge this young man.

Kewell did a few nice things but in general he didn't work as hard as he might and this needs attention.

i think we r being a little harsh on kewell, i think he's just laking in confidance, i thought he did work hard today, as for ping pong i thought he had a good first half got a little lost in the second but i think he is a good squad player to have, he's pretty handy in the air as well, then theres neil mellor, i dont think he done much today but he worked hard up front and remember he was up front on his own and scored u cant ask for much more than that.

i've just been having another look at the goals (http://www.soccerclips.net - great archives of golas from all over) - and kewell was instrumental in each. we all saw the nice cushioned header into gerrards path for the opener. but he also got his head to the ball, under a lot of pressure and taking a knock too, and knocked it down for mellor's goal too.

mellor was also instrumental in alonso's goal - his run took 2 defenders out of the way.

i think i've been a bit hard on them both. and some others have too...
