Szobo...our best player by a country mile so far?

Big result that, even though we’re only in August, but we’re already top and haven’t hit our stride yet.

We will only get better.

I know some thought we were poor early on, but considering the opposition, we played a fantastic game throughout IMO, with the second half being better obviously.

We weren't that great up front (against the best defence in the league) and some of our passing was lacking in the first half but we were immense where we thought we would be weakest, in defence. The entire back 4 was superb, van Dijk the usual colossus, Kerkez showing why we signed him, Konate back to his old self, even Joey was fantastic when he came on. And of course, the man of the match Szobozlai. His phenomenal goal aside, I thought he was great at RB and he seemed to cover both RB and midfield at the same time.

All in all happy with both the performance and the result. We haven't beaten Arsenal in the league in a while so that says a lot about how difficult this fixture is.

Fantastic goal and what a warrior performance from Szoboszlai, he’s impressed me more last couple of games than he did last season, and he was good last season. Bringing Wirtz has woken him up a bit. Salah does not seem like the same player, just seems slower and unable to beat man like he’s used to. I thought MacAlister had a bad game, didn’t look fit at all. A good team performance.

Great way to go into the international break and some of our injured players can rest up a bit. Hopefully Wirtz and Konate stay with the club and recover.

I thought we were very lax with the ball for most of it. Looked like we set out for a 0.0. Glad to see the crowd make some noise around the 65th min which sparked a bit of life into us. Still a difficult game to watch as a fan.

Delighted for Szob. Thought he was fantastic last week and again this week. Capped it off with a cracker of a goal. MOTM both weeks imo.

Wirtz struggling if I'm honest. The intensity is taking time to adapt to but still some good touches when given space. I thought Gakpo and Salah where poor. Hopefully Konate is ok for after the break.

Absolutely delighted to win this and head into the break on max points. Already a few points on our rivals and I know its early but take every point you can get.

That's a massive win, no matter the era games against your title rivals are nearly always tight dull affairs decided by the odd moment here and there. We never used to steamroller Revie's Leeds or Notts Forest under Clough and Taylor either. These games are all about just getting the win which is what we have done.

Great result. Fantastic goal from the new Trent   Our defence looked impressive.

Great to see City mess up again. Brilliant Diogo goal style celebration from Milly.

It was always going to be a tough fixture, an edge encounter that was separated by a brilliant strike. Sboz has been in great form, long may it continue. I like how his able to play multiple positions. You always need a robust utility man in the side. Great early statement from us, well done lads.
