That’s a gutsy win against a side bang in form, plenty of teams would have felt sorry for themselves and let their heads go down after Jota’s first goal was chalked off. I thought Phillips had a terrific game and once again it was Shaq who found a way to unlock what seemed an impenetrable defence, he really is an intelligent little footballer. As for Jota I’m getting the same vibes from him as I did when Sadio and Mo first arrived, superstar in the making there imo.

Great result against some tricky feckers. Moyseeee 17 games without a win against Liverpool !! Phillips looked very useful and my gawd we need him. Jota looks as if he belongs and offers vision and imagination which we certainly need. City next Premiership game could define the season.

Great result from the lads, Jota was as good as ever. Like many, happy with Phil's performance, boy do we need a solid CB atm.

Great result again coming from behind to seal a win. Phillip's did well, much better than I thought he would so credit to him.

Delighted with Jota. Finally a player who can replace one of the front 3 without our attack suffering. He was electric when he came on and could have had another. The run for the goal was exquisite and equally the pass from Shaq to put it in his path.

Also delighted we are back on top as it will keep the lads on their toes.

Games coming fast now with Atalanta on Tuesday and I don't think Phillip's was named in the CL squad so we might see that William's lad back in.

How far away is Matip? The young lad did well against Midtjylland but I think this Atalanta will be a different proposition (especially in Italy).
