Liverpool Football Club - Games

We played ping pong with 420+ passes in the first half alone but failed to penetrate and make any attempts on goal - and went one down. Mo's penalty was the only attempt on target in the first half. Then on 70 minutes Shaq and Jota came on and the game came alive, Shaq plays with both feet rather than Mo, Milner, Robbo etc.. who are one footed so his contribution was immediate. And Jota is just a bundle of trouble, a goal disallowed and bounces back scoring another straight away.  Phillips was superb, 23 years old making his first team debut, very confident, decisive, strong clearances both with his head and feet - this is why we won't buy another CB, we have cover with Rhys Williams etc... Phillips must have jumped over Williams in the pecking order after this game. WH defended and frustrated well but lacked any danger in front of goal thank goodness. Onwards and upwards! PS, maybe Moyes will win his first game at Anfield next year...

It was a difficult game, but to get the 3 points is sublime, thanks to Jota for the second week to win the game, I thought Phillips was excellent, so are Mane, Shaqiri, Jota, and even Jones, the worst player was Firmino,
Shaqiri was the only midfield player who has an ability to penetrate with through passes and make West Ham defence turns, the rest just plays cross the pitch from side to side and stupid crosses, and unnecessary backpasses.

Good Luck Lads for the next two difficult in coming games
