Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby red till i die!! » Wed Aug 19, 2015 8:16 pm

According to ESPN we aren't interested in letting him go which is good news. http://www.espnfc.co.uk/liverpool/story ... -liverpool?

It also says he was given time off after his wife gave birth on the 2nd of August but returned to training 5 days before the Stoke game.

Charm offensive by FSG as they know Sakho is a fans favourite and in addition a ploy to take a bit of heat off Rodgers.

The manager clearly is not convinced by Sakho but as a PR stunt its been a success with fans turning frustration into comment about
this  deal.

Proved the f*cking obvious yesterday, he is our best CB, and one of the best in the premier league.

The Anfield faithful seem to be more generous with their love and admiration for Sakho then people on this forum?

He’s been excellent since Klopp has been here.

To be fair he gets plenty of praise in the match day and the ratings threads.

I've always rated Sakho, he was a regular at PSG and was chased by half a dozen clubs in Europe before I came here.  It was incredible when BR dropped him in favour of Lovren. In fact, it was madness.

He lad clearly needed a few games and a bit of faith in his ability and he's all the better for it. I'd like to think Markovic and one or two others would show the same improvement with a good manager behind them...

He is easily one of the best CB's in the league. It's a miracle he came here and miracle he stayed. It's now showing why bigger clubs were after him.

I am a huge fan of this guy, he just oozes class. It's one thing for the fans to love him, but he loves the fans just as much in return. He is just about our most important player IMO, and definitely a name that is first written on the team sheet.

I tend to agree. Maybe not now, but I've had some pretty ridiculous discussions in the past with people who didn't rate him. It took some people 2 years to realize that he's actually a top passer.

I know that i keep going on about Mamadou in my weekly player ratings, but i truly think this man is everything that a real captain should be

He is a natural leader, his defending is fearless, his passing is classy and accurate both short and long passes, he is comfortable on the ball (although sometimes he may not look like it)

It is no coincidence that our problems at the back were somewhat lessened when he came back into the side

I would love to see Klopp send out a huge statement of intent and give this man the captaincy, especially in the absence of Hendo

Sakho was a Rogers fk up. He messed about with his head and unsurprisingly that affected the lads confidence. He hasn't captained France through lack of ability. Klopp will get considerably more of Sakho. There are probably several other players as well that Klopp will sprinkle his magic dust over !!
