Krap ref krep decision and fully worthy of our krappy display...BR mental preparation were a disgrace the whole team didn't come ready to play..Gerrard is a disgrace no leadership no focus no example.

Let's just get Sturridge in and get this over with.

We didnt play too bad actually... Hit the post like 3 times or something before we started scoring... Penalty was a dive as well...

Oh well...against a makeshift bottom table team from the championship we needed a sending off in order to create anything...But hey to each his own..Great goals poor performance move on to our black sheep from London.

I must admit I didn't think it was going to be our night especially when we kept on hitting the woodwork, their penalty looked a bit soft to me as well and if there was any contact it must have been minimal.
The stand out performer for me was Can (who had a great game) but the likes of Mingolet, Sakho and of course Coutinho played really well too.
I'm just glad we are through to the next round, it would have been gutting to go out of the two domestic cup competitions within the space of 7 days.

We played better V Chelsea and went out.

I think we missed lucas again. Gerarrd shouldnt have played especially as the derby is this weekend so would have thought he would have been playing in that.

The can Skrtel Sakho partnership is fantastic and a perfect balance in the last 7 games we have conceded 3 goals 2 of them were penalties.

My take on it, my opinion only...    Emre Can is a beast in his new position. He quick coming out of defense. Credit to Brendan for changing things and basically switching to a 2 man defence and allowing Can to push forward. That was effective. We went all out attack with Sturridge. Sterling, Courtinho, Borini , Gerrard and Can all pushing up a highline. Mr Rodgers changed the tactic and formation and took a gamble that paid off. Job done.

I thought Sakho was good too, composed on the ball. Also, Mignolet looks to be finding some form. Not impressed with Joe Allen or Borini though.

All in all we did what we needed to do. We move on.

Delighted with the win and the quality of the goals but a little disappointed that they had to go down to ten men before we looked capable of disposing them. still its never going to be easy for us .
Thought can was excellent alongside wee phil    Couts just goes from strength to strength and can is looking very comfortable at this level. I think can also showed what he can bring to the midfield and how much better he would suit the team playing there. I'd build our mid around him in a defensive position with phil in the advanced role.
