He has been shocking for some time now.
If Flanagan is back then great, that should be an improvement.

does no one think that if he was playing with "multiple injuries" it might have contributed to why he was playing so poorly ?

was he playing injured for 5 years ? Glen was NEVER a consistent professional player ,he did enough to buy him a contract and he scored the odd goal to capture the imagination of the crowd ,but if you watch him day in day out ,he was pathetic uncommitted player if i ever saw one. And yes ,stupid as well.

he was never as bad as he is now and all im saying is that if he had those injuries then it would explain why he is off his game.
for me he is the type of player who blows hot and cold, one minute he's brilliant and the next he just about turns up. but over the last 5 games or so he has consistently been the worst player on the pitch which is the first time ive seen that from him.

Awful player, made up he's out. Been an absolute disgrace this season and not much better in previous seasons.

I'm gutted we can't sell him now....stuck with him on massive wage, until he declares himself fit again as his contract comes to an end.

Worst fullback I have seen in a reds shirt since Konchesky ,and in terms of dysfunctional and erratic displays I'm possibly doing Konchesky a huge
disservice in mentioning him in the same sentence.

Didnt have a good game (again) on saturday
He is totally lacking in confidence as all he seems to want to do is go backwards. When he did venture towards the half way line he got dispossessed time after time.
Needs to raise his game drastically

Think Johnson is f@ked at Liverpool unless he drastically drops his wages which he wont.

Been poor for too long now and whilst Rodgers backs him publicly I doubt his shoddy efforts have gone
unnoticed and even young Flanno took his natural right back slot at Southampton.

We paid a lot for him and a good screw in wages but not sure he has earned it despite his service.

One of those guys that's a failed winger shoved in at full back and been round a bit before he arrived
here.

Agent is no doubt his biggest asset but surely we can get a better right back on half what he's raking in.

I'm pretty sure he wont survive another transfer window. We're probably scouting a replacement as we speak. Hopefully we can land that Montoya kid but it's a long shot. He is really highly rated so I can't see a reason for Barca to sell him to us.

I'm slightly surprised at the vitriolic comments being made about Glen Johnson, and I'm always amused at how many cite his wage as a problem    , you'd think some of us we're actually making payments from our bank accounts into his  :D

Ok, the fella hasn't been at his best for quite a while now. Defensively he's never been the best we've had and yet he's still currently England's first choice RB. As an attacking FB, when he's on his game, imo he's up there with some of the best.

If you don't rate him, fair enough, if you think he's overpaid, fair enough but for fks sake, the fella's been here five years and prior to signing turned down an offer from Chelsea to join us instead.

Despite his lack of form I still think he can do the job for us but if he has to go can we at least recognise that he's not actually the worst FB we've ever had.
