No I don't ,I think you assume way too much lad ,and if I had to hazard a guess I would say its the second half you're missing fella.
Listen you refuse to see the steep incline that Gerrard's currently whizzing down by the seat of his pants ,Whereas I don't, I clearly
though sadly see the occasional seepage or the odd glimpse of genuine quality that Gerrard used to brim with. I still rate Gerrard
as a world class talent and I afford him all the respect his legend demands ,but I refuse to don the blinkers when the lad is not even
making a tackle in the second half of games..... That I wont forgive ,because his dispirited second 45 mins could eventually drag
us down the table.
sadly I agree

sadly I agree. We do need to find a way to use him for his attacking ability and he still seems the best passer in the team but where he is currently playing is not helping us get the best out of him.

i thinkn stevie g is a good defensive mid aka pirlo, i see him playing that role for yrs to come.
well, scholes and giggs played to their late 30's.
and stevie is someone who looks after himself. so he has around 5 more good yrs with us, hopefully.

I think thats optimistic, next season I think he will probably struggle to the extent one or two are making him out to be at the moment.

He's still got plenty to offer at the minute though. His performances in the games we've won prove it. Even if on two occasions he's he's faded badly after the break.

I am really becoming concerned with his body language and overall atitude. He didnt even smile after scoring the penalty on saturday and he generally mopes around the pitch.
Is it something (or someone) off the pitch, or a problem with the team?

Irks me a bit that he is constantly publicly talking about England yet never seems to say much about us.
Often feel like he's losing his drive to play for Liverpool.  Would like him to be a bit more vocal and positive about his chances of success with us

If he can put together his best season we will win the prem. he may never get a better chance.

Related to Carra going perhaps? That's something significant that changed

Do you not think that he's noticed the lack of quality around and has given up?

Would be understandable instead of thinking "this is our year" again when it clearly isn't for probably the fifteenth time in a row!

I hope not. That wouldn't be very professional now would it.

If he had given up already and deemed we have no chance even though after seven games we are tied for first then that would be a shame and more importantly not Steven Gerrard. He plays above his abilities due to his drive and winning attitude. It would be unrealistic to say we will win the prem this year but if he can give us the best year he has had, we most certainly can win the prem. I doubt very much that he has seen the lack of quality and give up. He has had many injuries with his groin area in his career and I would bet you he is playing through pain as these injuries come back as you get older. Quitting and giving up have never been his ethos.

His quote come from press interviews!

The way I see it is he just gets quoted more as England captain.

It will be the mother of all ironies if he uses all his stength and exuberance up to get england to Brazil at the expense of him winning the Prem
