Shelvey played up front against West Ham away and scored so it's four games where strikers have scored in those games.

I'm not sure that it really matters who's been scoring the goals this year if they've been spread throughout the team. Carroll was loaned out in August, Borini has been injured most of the season and Sturridge didn't join until January. Morgan and Yesil are strikers for the future so as far as I can see if others have been scoring this season so be it.

Don't forget Sterling. He chipped in with a few early on, he was essentially one of the front 3 in many games.

FSG taking away Rodgers balls in the transfer market & putting them away for cold storage.

Can see good & bad aspects of this type of system

Good:

Some mad punter won't be able to spend 35 million on a single player
Makes it more difficult for Rodgers to sign his old mates from previous clubs

Bad:

We may not be able to push through deals quick enough, might get bogged down in internal conflicts.
Manager may be forced to sign players he does not necessarily want!
Shows owners do not trust their boy & perhaps their own decision making in running the club

I'm ok with that, its the way footballs moving. You can't tell me Rafa's had anything to do with the £20m Schurrle deal for example.

Nope just as Ancelotti had nothing to do with Torres  :eyebrow ... i'm sure the Chelsea board was completely behind that move

Speaking of Rafa, do you still remember some of the battles he fought with Parry over transfers, the Barry saga stands out the most with Alonso being the casualty. Not one of his best moments  :no

Why would Suarez leave in the summer?
???

because he wants to one day win something and wants to play with talented motivated footballers. Also who doesn't want a pay rise?

Seriously there are more reasons for him to leave than stay.

mid table manager at best, if we didn't have Suarez this season we would have been in a relegation dog fight and Rodger's would have got the sack.

Sorry, I think the owners done a big mistake but I hope I can be proven wrong

And who would you propose should be in the hotseat instead of him then ?

There's only one manager I would like right now if Rodgers were to go - Juergen Klopp. Feckin' master tactician.....and espouses lovely football too.....pity they had a cr@p season in the Bundesliga this year, that's the only counterargument.

rodgers has done okay, but no more than that.
kenny got sacked last season after finishing 8th and getting us to 2 cup finals, where are we now? 7th?
rodgers has improved us style wise and his last couple of signings (sturridge and coutinho) look good but i fear he`s too much of a purist.
unless he`s prepared to add some steel into the side we wont be getting into the top 4 anytime soon imo.
look at the goals we conceded yesterday, oscar scores a header DIRECT from a corner for probably the first time in his entire career and lets face it if we had a sami hyypia or larry lloyd back there suarez wouldnt be needed in his own box.

Just watched the post mach interviews on LFC TV I think Rodgers did ok, but I take my hat off to Rafa. He absolutely refused to comment or speculate about the biting incident and was adamant he wanted to speak about the added on time.
I am starting to consider him coming back in a few years...

considering how this season has gone kenny was very unlucky to lose his job, he finished 8th but after we lost to arsenal (which basically ended our hopes of finishing 4th) he clearly prioritised the cup competitions, for instance for the fulham game at home he completely rested gerrard, reina, agger and suarez and even the likes of enrique and downing were on the bench.
he probably could have scrambled 6th or 5th but once 4th was gone he was ambivilent about the league.
kenny could point to bad luck too, lucas`s long term injury (when he was in the form of his life) and the suarez/evra thing derailed the season, the owners refusing to bring in a DM in during january (meaning we had to play over half the season with jay spearing in that role) didnt help either.
we`ll have to see who rodgers brings in over the summer, all this talk of williams and vorm doesnt exactly inspire me though, even erikson, cracking player but he`s another one who`s five foot nothing and about 9 stone wringing wet, i hope we sign someone with a bit of physical presence like diame, our midfield desperately needs some dynamism because gerrards legs have gone and lucas is really struggling to find his pre injury form.
if we go into next season with our current midfield i wont have high hopes of achieving 4th.
