Another poor mistake from Pepe. Annoying that we drew twice with City because of two needless defensive mistakes. The team is looking better though.

Nobody will be beating themselves up over his howler more than Pepe himself.

As you say though the team is looking better, we contained them for most of the match and always looked more threatening on attack.

I think this is the best looking Liverpool side we have had for a while, I do feel good about where we are going. Had they played with this much confidence from the start against Utd we would have beaten the scum. We are close but not quite there, however I am enjoying the progression. Also Henderson has been impressing me more and more.

Reina needs replacing IMO. I've said it before, his the kinda keeper that will pull of exceptional saves to win you points and equally prone to howlers meaning you end up dropping points. Would love to get Begovic from Stoke but got the feeling another club have got a deal lined up for him what with Stoke having bough Butland in. If we have a chance with him, should definitely try for him.

he had nothing to do all afternoon, and committed such a big mistake. a miscom between defender and keeper.

Pepe has suffers a dip in form since Rafa left starting with that own goal he gifted Ars under Hodgson's first home game and now that goal keeping madness. BR must help him to improve his confidence and if this kind of howlers continue, he must be dropped and get someone better.

Its evolution Ken, it will happen, even if he stays a younger keeper should be claiming his place.

If he continues to commit howlers like that, that cost us points, he must be sold in the summer and look for a better replacement.

Always been a big fan of Pepe's but he has been well below his best for around 18 months now. Probably the right time for him to move on/be moved on. Hope the club's looking at Ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach, have heard very good things. 20 years old, already capped for the German national team.

he should have been replaces two seasons ago in my view.
the club better start looking now.

its every other game he is doing something like this, but for me he has done it two games in a run now, i blame him for the 2nd goal against arsenal,

Lakes blaming a player Rafa bought ! Never would have seen that. The whole back 5 is currently suffering - every single one of them has ***** up this season and cost us points - if you want to get rid of Pepe because of mistakes then the rest of the back 5 follow him out the door. The back 5 have zero confidence at the moment and something isn't right - whether that's tactics or set up I don't know but it's a big difference to last season.

No point having strikers who score goals when we currently concede too many

This season ? Well Johnson was poor in the first Arsenal game and Agger and Enrique have both lost their men at set pieces in games. West Brom , Villa are a couple.

It's not the same person making mistakes and not playing well - it's the whole backline

I am gutted that we dropped 2 points yesterday and it shows how well were playing when Suarez has a stinker and we still dominate and almost win
We are all over the place defensively, not just between the sticks but at the back generally with the last 4 goals scored against us all being avoidable.
However, although Im really angry that Pepe made that ridiculous sprint and challenge, it was a wonder goal and probably only a handful of players could have put it in like that. As bad as I feel about Pepe, I happen to recall watching another LFC goalie many years ago who was even madder than him: one Mr. Grobbelaar. If people want to slag Reina off for his antics they need to watch videos of Brucie in his heyday.
