If Rodgers needs to to learn his trade then he can do it elsewhere.

Why does he insist on using Downing and Henderson and refuse to use Sahin and Assadi? Rodgers better get his act together because his record is shocking, were in the bottom half at Christmas FFS!!!!!!!!

There's a structural problem with BR team. Our attack is based largely on running at the defence to produce a cross or Suarez unbalancing the opponenet on 1v1. Its not based on clever movement and passing in the final 3rd, which is where our attack collapses if the opponent puts enough men behind te ball in the last third.

2ndly, a lack of balance in midfield means a collapse of the attacking game exposes our vulnerability to the counter.

One point that needs to be made is how abysmally poor Joe Allen has been save for 2-3 games since his arrival. He is the weakest link in MF in terms of vulnerability to high pressing. I know it will b said he's been played out of position, but not in the last couple of games.
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

And I havce stated all season Allen was not worth even close to 15 million. Swansea hasn't lost a beat without him and an easily replaceable player.
So he can pass the ball, but he will not score any goals and not really be that great defensivly. 15 million for that is just never justifiable.
Both him and Borini are closing in on the same awfulness as the signings the previous summer.

And people once killed Rafa as soon as he made 1 poor signing once in a while....

Im saying it now the guy is losing it, one minute hes saying it will take more time than his contract allows to sort us out, the next we can finish 2nd?

We have no money, we have lots of money, we have no money.

Worse record then the owl, talks to the press about anything and everything from money, to players to what pants hes got on.

Why on earth didnt we talk to rafa. This guy is out of his depth.

O an i will add this as its class

Its understandable when we get beat that some call for the managers head. We were world beaters last week but hey ho
I do agree with you about talking to the press. It seems B-Rods exhuberance got the better of him but he was excited by the way we had been playing in the last month or so. I would like him to stop being so open and honest but I cant blame him for trying to big up the team and getting the fans feeling good. Thats not a crime but when we lose in such a fashion afer his statement it does tend to look like hes a knob.
He is not, however, and all this childish criticism is boring and unfair. We are 5 points from 4th place and have improved (today aside) since August and we should remember that Shankly didnt do anything for THREE years. Give the man some support and stop going on about Rafa. Hes a chelsea fan now...

I mean sacking him after one bad season was criminal. When KD was terminated, FSG had Martinez and Rodgers lined up for the job. Now, I believe our standards have dropped so low nowadays and I don't know why because the owners were looking for a good relegation dodging manager (Martinez) and unproven, freshly arrived from the championship young fella who had won nothing to date (Brendan) to take charge of LIVERPOOL, a club that is a world brand and whose top aim is to win the PL every season, and yet you had all these 2 blokes lined up for the most important job in Liverpool.

Our club have sacked Evans, Houllier and Rafa who could finished in top 4 during most of their tenure and since Rafa left we've appointed Roy and BR who are mid table managers and KD who was out of touch with the modern game with his overpriced average British signings. Leadership at Liverpool is a farce nowadays.

BR could come out good in future but appointing him with no track record of winning any trophies was as risky as appointing Roy 2 years ago. So far, he's all B.***** talk and no results to show.

FSG wanted us to model Arsenal, really? When was the last time they won the PL? And they are now a feeder club for manure, city and the spanish giants like selling Fabregas, Nasri and recently RVP. You're looking at the wrong club as a model in terms of winning trophies and winning the PL, unless you're contented with being financially sound and just make it to top 4 which is not what Liverpool belongs. IF they refuse to heavily fund BR in Jan and next summer, they MUST LEAVE OUR CLUB A.S.A.P., period.

i think rogers can turn out to be someone special for us,
but for him to realize that potential he has got to stop using a rock to smash on his foot everytime we've got some momentum coming.
why play shelvey, a central player as a winger when you got suso, assaidi or downing?
why play downing as a left back when you got more better left backs - agger, robbo and wisdom ?
why sign sahin when we dont have a defensive mid cover for lucas? and loan out spearing?
why didnt he sign a cover for suarez? why let carroll go ?
shelvey should be as far from our first team as possible. hendo is playing well this few games.
and sterling? full 90 min everytime he plays, there is a danger of overplaying him. and get his contract sorted out, if not demote him to play reserve football.

I don't understand why Assaidi doesn't get a chance, surely we needed some balance on the left, he plays Shelvey there.

Allen is worrying me too, has been poor last few games now.

I wonder that myself but honestly I don't think he would make a difference to our first team duds who struggle to score, he would just blend in. I think we really missed Enrique against Villa.

^^  You are right we are mid table, and will remain so, while we have mid table manager who buys midtable players. He is so amateurish in his attempts to mimic Shanks that it's laughable any Liverpool supporters think he is credible. The TV show was a f*cking embarassment and he is more of a media whore than Phil Brown, Allardyce and 'arry put together. Very little of what he says is meaningful, and is usually contradictory, just STFU. I've said it before he may, just may, become a good manager but I'm not comfortable with him using my club as a practice round.

Oh and I wish everyone would stop w@nking over us passing round in our own half, even mediocre Villa showed that passing, crisp meaningful passing, is required in the final third. I really want BR to do well, but let's be perfectly honest, there is nothing in his past record, or current performance that generates any belief, and forget the pretty play here and there, Wigan under Martinez do the same and yet fight relegation each year.

We've been a mid-table team for the last three-and-a-half years, what is there to get used to? Talk of getting into the top four is risible and talk of catching up with Citeh is even more risible.

Without the required investment in the team without the full financial backing of Rodgers plans, then we'll always be a mid-table team. Just look at Wigan, they are constantly relegation battlers and they won't ever be anymore than that without the appropriate backing.

You cannot hope to get into the top four or even challenge for major honours when the clubs that occupy the top spots are spending £30m on a single player while you're club is spending £30m on three players.

The FSG model only works if your club can get the kinds of revenue streams of United, which at present we are not getting. United despite their debt always give Alex Ferguson plenty of money to strengthen his first team. Signing Robin Van Persie could potentially win United the league title this season and if that happens the £24m paid for Van Persie will be recouped straight away.

He's signed a tricky winger in Assaidi and never plays him, I cannot understand why not? Why sign someone if you aren't going to play them. Likewise with Nuri Sahin, he's been brought in on loan and seldom plays nowadays.
