Selling to H + G, even contacting Klinsmann for the managers job when Rafa had got us to 2 CL finals, the general lack of investment from H + G, sacking Rafa eventually, hiring a clown (sorry but he really was/is), whoever negotiated the Carroll, Hendo + Downing fees, the whole stadium issue, letting your record signing go on loan with no replacement, lack of ownership during the Suarez, Evra thing, failure to invest when Lucas was injured and Suarez banned.

We've only got ourselves to blame...

the sad thing is it's not as if we're playing badly every week. i thought we were marginally the better side against swansea in the first half and were on the the wrong side of a marginal offside call again. against spurs after a dreadful first twenty we were the better side again and deserved a draw at least.

Results will come, I think things were always going to get worse before they got better. I urge all supporters to keep the faith.

Brendan Rodgers is the right man for the job, of that I am sure - he needs support and backing to the hilt. The promised land awaits those who are brave enough to seek it. Rodgers is brave and he will lead us to better times.

If UKIP can become a major party in the North of England, then Rodgers can make us Champions of England.

it`s easy to blame rodgers because he has made a lot of mistakes.
lets face it if hodgson or even kenny had made half the mistakes rodgers has they would have been absolutely lambasted, because rodgers plays 4-3-3 and talks a good game he is avoiding a lot of warranted criticism.
from the moment he walked in he has been making mistakes, the way he handled the carroll situation in the media, the transfer day debacle, spending £30+ million in the summer but failing to address the striker problem everyone in football (bar rodgers) knew we had, saying one minute the title challenge starts here and then the next minute declaring it`s going to take us 4 years to even challenge for a top 4 place, his houllier-esque habit of putting positive spins on poor results, his refusal to change his style even if it means we miss an opportunity to exploit an opponents weakness (if a team had 2 five foot six centre halves he wouldnt play a target man)...i could go on and on right through to his latest clanger of expecting downing to cope with lennon on wednesday.
there probably is a very good manager somewhere inside rodgers but imo that piece of coal needs a hell of a lot of polishing before it turns into a diamond.
when we were linked with the likes of martinez, lambert and rodgers a lot of fans questioned wether they had the experience to cope at a big club, well up to now at least we know rodgers cant.
he has got to improve dramatically in the second half of the season (which to be fair apparently he traditionally does) because if we dont other clubs will be flocking like wolves in the summer looking to buy our best players. his declaration last summer of `every player has his price` basically tells us that fsg are prepared to sell if the money is right.
the problem with that though is who do we bring in to replace our best players? another one of rodgers mates?

I don't believe the summer transfer fiasco was Rodgers fault, i've presented my reasons and evidence to back it up many times so I wont go into it again.

All we need is a finisher, our creation of opportunities is not a problem it's the conversion. Interesting stats on Talksport website today -

If Liverpool had Man Utds goals to shots ratio the league table would look like...

People see things differently and thats just the way it is. One things for sure, Rodgers is here for the foreseeable future come what may and it makes more sense that people stick together and support him and the team.
The alternative doesnt bear thinking about...

we need more than a finisher

suarez is top premiership goalscoring playing the lone striker role

our problem is we have no goals from wide and our centre mids have no goals in them!!! gerrard is gone as a player who can score 15 a season, even 10

I said this yesterday... everyone seems to think a striker will solve our problems but we have the top scorer playing there! Ok, so he does occasionally need a rest and I get that.

But for me, we need attacking players that can preferably play wide forward in a 4-3-3 and we need to get more men into the box.
Look how many goals Maxi scored just by being in the right positions

I'm not saying a finisher is all we need in the long term but in the short term a finisher will do. It will be enough to salvage a season and prepare for a summer transfer window that offers far more value for money than a January one.

Aside from the opening day defeat against West Brom, whenever Liverpool have dropped points this season they have actually enjoyed more shots on goal than their opponents - often a significant amount more.

I suggest we paint the sides and roof of the Anfield Road and Kop end stands brilliant white and use them as goalposts
and we might actually start knocking a few in then.

It's not surprising that we're mid table when you consider the changes in the squad from last year.

We got rid of Kuyt, Maxi, Bellamy, Adam, Aquilani, Aurelio and brought in Borini, Allen and Assaidi, we loaned out Carroll, Spearing and Wilson and got Sahin on loan. The next spend was probably about £20M but we're saving something like 4 to 5 hundred thousand quid a week in wages which probably covers the £20 net spend over a year.

We were expecting to sign Sturridge and Dempsey so the squad is a couple of forwards light of what Brendan wanted, then Lucas, Kelly, Borini and Cole get injured so we're playing a few teenagers a lot more then we expected.

We've been badly beaten a couple of times but we've been unlucky with refereeing decisions and should have had a few more results than we have. We've played players out of position but it's a matter of making the most of what you have.

I think we've done well under the circumstances and I can see it improving if we have the backing of the owners and the support of the fans.

it actually beggars belief that people are comparing rodgers to hodgson. under hodgson the football was turgid and he alienated the fans by praising up our biggest rivals and talking us down all the time. he also peeved agger, johnson and lucas off to the extent where all three wanted to leave at one stage. he was the complete opposite of everything this club has been about. unfortunately this club isn't the same as it used to be in general ever since we sacked our best manager in twenty years and sacked a club legend for winning trophies. now we have fans questioning another new manager after 5 months.

i guarantee he will buy sturridge. Hes already made his mind up before he got here who he wants. Huntelaar or lukaku wud be far better
