Kenny did NOT spend £100m. His net spend was probably around £30m, with about that figure saved on wages.

He did spend that money. His net spend may be lowered because his predecessor had made some great investments Kenny could sell off, but Kennys successors have not been given that option, they rather have to try to cut the losses from Downing, Adam, Carroll, Henderson, Jones, Coates, and so on,

Just look at how he handsomely paid 10 million for Coates. I think 10 million for a defender should more or less guarantee world class internationals. Instead he spent it on an unproven, slow, young guy. I predict he will be moved on for free in a year or two.

The money has been wasted, no doubt. And our position today is the END PRODUCT OF THAT WASTE

He did SPEND £100m though, he recouped a lot of money in player sales, but he still spent that amount . (eg you cant say that man utd didn't spend any money for 3 years in a row when they sold Ronaldo for £80m (and bought in players like Valencia, Phil Jones, Ashley Young and DeGea) - His net spend is good yes, but he still spent £100 Million.

The money Kenny spent was not new money injected in to the club - it came mostly from players sales, but regardless of where it came from - he still purchased players costing over £100m in total, most of which was wasted on Downing, Henderson, Carroll etc

I am not deluded, I look at the table and I see relegationstaring at me. It is soon october and we are in the drop zone.

I never wished for he to spend all that money on waste and fail. I wished for he to succeed. But, I will not change my perception and base my opinion on bias and wishful thinking just to accomodate a failed hero.

still makes me laugh when people say kenny wasted all that money when comoli was brought in specifically to oversee transfers and even the owners themselves had a few sly digs at the unscientific way players were recruited in this country.
kenny had been in the job about 2 weeks when £60m of that £100m was spent (and even then he was only in charge on a temporary basis) and even the following summer comoli was in the paper saying hendo and downing were signed because they matched the moneyball criteria perfectly.

Kenny, Comolli, it doesn't matter the past is in the past now. We just have to back Rodgers the best we can and hope that FSG will allow Rodgers more than one season to turn things around.

Amazing isnt it! Obviously Kenny had a say in the players being signed, but Im sure Comolli was more responsible for the fees / negotiation.
Yet Kenny gets blamed for the whole thing.

rodgers will get plenty of time mainly because if the owners sacked him the calls for benitez to be reinstated as manager would be deafening.
i dont think FSG want a strong character like benitez in charge

I think BR's plan to bring in loads of youth team players, Suso, Sterling, Assaidi, pacheco etc etc, because he has not signed enough quality players in the summer, is a mistake and will cost us a lot of results/ points between now and January.

There is a huge leap between the youth team and the senior team, as Robbie Fowler was saying when he broke through.

I have seen Raheem Sterling struggle to beat defenders, do to the physicallity of the senior game, in all the games he has played so far, and I believe he should start from the bench, not starting every game.

Are you sue you're an actual fan, all you ever seem to do is criticise all the time and not actually support. I really am starting to think you're a wum.
We dominated United until the little brown envelopes starting paying dividends again. The refereeing was absolutely shocking and runied what would have been a comfortable win for us. Lets also remember that we domainated Sunderland to a certain extent and also Man City. The margin between being where we currently are and being towards the top of the league is very very small so I suggest you and all the under whingers grow a set of ball and start supporting the team!!
From my point of view we are playing very good football and it is getting better every match, and I also love the fact that the youngsters are slotting into the team so well. For that you have to give massive credit to Brendan Rodgers and his team.

The only margin between us and the top 4 that counts is currently 11 points after just 5 games - that's not small at all . Playing better football is meaningless without results in our favour

We have cleared the decks and Rodgers has been given the task of re building
the club from scratch and thats whats hes doing by creating a young team that
will grow together.

You do need help with money though and so its not going to be easy, especially
if reports of Anfields redevelopment are true, moneys tight now let alone with
that to pay for.

Its hard to be patient and I find it difficult but at least now we seeing the start
something with these young lads and style of play rather than expensive recruits
letting us down every week, which is even harder to watch.

We couldnt have a more geniune and decent man in charge who I am sure will
give everything to turn it around, but its a hell of job hes taken on no question
and not many would risk their careers doing it either, but hes having a go and
in the right way too.
