some one in our club has spoken to some media guys saying that a lot of players are unhappy with the Manager.

Sky sort of hints at the problems but has not come out said said what its all about but heard someone on the radio saying that Gerrard and Agger are the unhappy ones and a lot of the team feel that Andy Carroll is being given a hard time by the manager.

heard a guy say on sky this morning that they are giving odds of 2-1 that we start singing "you dont know what your doing" today.

I'll give you odds of 50000/1 that we start singing it today as we don't play till sunday

absolute rubbish, some players may be unhappy with the way carroll has been treated but there is no chance, and i mean no f**king chance that the crowd would sing that at a manager in his second league game in charge.
never heard such cr@p in my life! who was it who said that on sky mate?

i think carroll has been harshly treated myself but i dont like all this talk of players being unhappy, there were rumours of player power playing a role during the final stages of rafa`s tenure and throughout roys tenure too. players going above the managers head and speaking to chief exec`s etc.
i think after getting tonked 3-0 by west brom our players should just concentrate on doing their jobs and let the manager do his, i think rodgers needs to bring a few ego`s down to size.

Jamie Redknapp has contradicted that by saying he's spoken to the Liverpool lads and they thinks he's great.

according to the link,

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/pre ... /3329600/-

rogers paid 5m pounds, plus majority of wages to RM for sahin services with no deal to sign him at the end of the year.
after ripping us of macca, owen and alonso, are we once again ripped off by RM ??

It's a lot of cash but I don't see it as being ripped off..although we needed a clause to buy but if that wasn't possible then we should make the most of him this season. Really excited by him. Also not sure how Madrid ripped us off when players want to do a Bosman on us.

Its lots of money for 12 months but we need quality and creativity in the middle.

lets be honest here, Adam and Henderson can't do what we want!

He is a great player and makes us a much better team even if it is for only 12 months.

we got £30m for alonso, okay we didnt want him to go and he was top quality but £30m for someone you originally bought for £10m isnt getting ripped off.
re sahin, we have wasted tens, maybe even hundreds of millions in wages and transfer fee`s in recent years trying to get into the CL, if sahin is the catalyst to make this team tick (the player we have been missing since alonso left) and he is the driving force that propels us into the CL places then five mill plus wages is small beer compared to what we have p1$$ed up the wall in pursuit of the holy grail of CL football.
plus if he flops we dont have to keep on paying him for years, by the time joe cole leaves anfield he will have recieved £18.5m in wages....he has made 9 starts.

on hindsight, alonso sold for 30m was a massive scam. yes we bought him for 10m but you did not factor in the massive inflation in football transfers. alonso was sold at fair value or near to fair value, but what about the premium we must demand for selling our best player?
was ronaldo worth 85m pounds?? no, never in hell, but RM paid mancs that amount. that is the premium.
sahin was bought for 15m euro by RM and we pay RM 5m pounds = 6.3m euros for a yr of service?? with no contract to sign on permanent basis, no wonder wenger reject the deal. from a business point of view, it does not make sense.

Octsky your problem is you are looking at Alonso's current form against the reality of when he was sold.

I hated it when he was sold, terrible mistake. But...

His form dipped before his last season, his best years were between 2005 and 2007. He had a good recovery season in 2009 but don't play up the fact that at the time getting £30M was a good deal, above market rate.

This 5 million pound figure for Sahin seems like absolute tosh. Seems more like some rumour that originally started off on Arsenal fan websites out of sheer jealousy and now has become a reality apparently.
