Wise words from Fowler. I have no expectations for next season apart from evidence of sensible management and rebuilding. None at all. Top four would be an immense acheivement.

Noticed your location as Poutine, is there a place by that name or do you live in a plate of cheesy chips  :D

I agree with Benny to an extent though, we're miles away from CL at the moment and hopefully our fans / owners realise that and give him time + Support.

My expectations would be a top 6 finish and a cup.

I see what you're saying and understand it too Benny.

Basically: He will need time and patience - something that Kenny wasn't afforded by the owners and some fans. Rodgers doesn't have legendary status here at this club and if things go 'Pete Tong' "some" fans will turn into "most" fans if a few results don't go our way. People like Heimdall, Kewell 7, Boxscarf and posters of that ilk (demand instant success now!, or as you put it "chelsea syndrome"), will want him gone and will be posting s.hit like this before Christmas. Mark my words, some of the tw@ts now who are "happy" with the signing will be calling for his head before the years out. And there's plenty more fans like them and soon enough it will become another debacle with fans "airing" their anger on a bloke who has only just started this mammoth task of getting a current mid-table team back up fighting for top 4 status again.

Rodgers will need way more than a poultry 25M to get Liverpool competing again. That had better not be true, otherwise the poor b@stard will be on a hiding to nothing.

Iv already said Im prepared to give the new guy two years to turn this around. He's young, talented and perfect for a rebuilding job at a club like ours.

the reports around the time were a £30m budget. Hopefully player sales comes into this as well. I'm hoping our signings last year with a year under their belts will be better, Hendo in the middle will be a start. Last season if we had a little more luck AND Lucas we would have fared a lot better I reckon
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
