yeah lets get martinez in. after all he manages to avoid relegation by the skin of his teeth every year. as for lambert and rodgers, both done great jobs but lets see how they do next year. they're very much flavour of the month and still have a lot to prove. when rafa went there were actually people on here advocating owen coyle for the job because bolton happened to be having a decent spell. now look at them.

Choice: Coyle, Martinez, Lambert and Rogers with feck all experience of top 4 management or CL or Mr Benitez sitting at home in Caldy watching the drama unfold. Its a no brainer, an absolute no brainer. Considering only Ayres is left from the old days, there shouldnt be any backroom animosity on either side either.

Kenny, KK was appoointed on a temporary basis, are you unaware? Have you just come out?

You have to plan for succession and thats what I'm talking about whereas you, a known stalker are simply firing off cheap shots. Back into rehab for you sonny. Many folks don't want KK sacked however I think we all suspect he only has one season left before the owners will thank him for stabilising the club and bring in a younger man.

Didn't he get a 3 year contract?

Reg, I asked you a simple question, no need for the "cheap shot" s.hit, I asked you a simple question - you think I "stalk" you old boy, don't flatter yourself mate you're not that important.

BTW, you didn't answer that 'simple' question, you gave a response of what you think the owners will do - BUT what do YOU THINK, LEAVE, STAY, WHAT?

Wigan, Norwich, Swansea
I rest my case...

Uh huh...we tried Fulhams manager who also had 'great success' in Europe AND on the international scene. I'd prefer to stick with our experienced, proven, successful manager and give him some time and support.

proven in what way, and how do top managers ever get into the top clubs if everyone has that kind of attitude, who's to say these managers couldn't make the step up to a "big" club. BTW We really aren't that "big" a club these days are we, not in terms of the league anyway and people in Europe must be starting to wonder what happened to that great club Liverpool, becuase we haven't been seen in a few years.

Heimdall, I'm confused. We tried you suggestion with Woy and look what happened. It seems all most like you're suggesting we employ a bargain basement manager like Woy and if it fails then we try another one next year. That's just what Chelsea do, only they shop for world class managers. I'm really missing your point.

Woy never worked, so we should take a punt on Martinez...and do we give him more time than we give Kenny? Or perhaps if he fails in season one, we can take a punt on that Swansea bloke?

I once won promotion to the Championship with Darlington on Footy Manager. Maybe I can have a shot at the top 4 after Kenny. :D

We are still a massive club. We are in the top 2 clubs in England and the top 10 in the world.

I want Kenny to stay, but if we do change manager I hope we avoid the flavour of the month type managers.  Or the over-hyped.
Roy was flavour of the month.  Now its probably Pardew.  Moyes, O Neil etc are all over-hyped.

Its hard to tell these days how long a new manager would even get though.

Exactly. Because Kenny is our new manager too. Sure he managed us before, but one year is still real new when ya look at Fergie and Wenger (granted, Wenger's won F all).
