Well you can laugh if you like but Liverpool were a decent side in the mid 90s that scored goals and beat Newcastle twice 4-3.

You sign poor players in the summer and seem to be rudderless when things start going pear-shaped. I really want Kenny to succeed here, but I fear it is asking too much from someone who has been out of the game for a long time and from someone who void of any ideas of how to plug all the gaps on what seems to be a sinking ship. The players though are an utter disgrace and if Kenny is the manager in the summer or if it's someone else, they need to get rid of some of these players and replace them with one's who are hungry to succeed at the highest levels.

There's definitely a motivational problem there. It's as if the players can only get up for games against the better sides or cup matches. Recently in the league we've just been going through the motions. I don't see any players rollocking anybody else if they're not doing their jobs or taking any responsiblity.
I'd rather stick 11 dustbins on the pitch than 11 players who only want to play for the manager and fans when it suits them. We aren't Chelsea ffs.

The squad needs the clearout required after the Rafa/Woy era. Kuyt, Maxi and one or two others need to go I'm afraid. Maxi scores a few goals but doesn't do much else. The club need to bite the bullet and be braver about reshaping the squad it was never going to be done in one or two windows. If they get it wrong this summer it could take years or even longer to get back into the top four.

Totally agree with this but it's up to the manager to get the lads fired up. in fairness they seemed motivated at the start of the game but then as with almost all matches they just seem to lose interest if they don't score immediately.

Chelsea Get rid of their managers every season, if they don't win the CL or League etc. How long did AVB get? 7 months or so?
Realistically, getting rid of Kenny is a risk in itself, because whoever comes in , esp an unknown or unproven name of success (like o'neil, AVB (only won europa league), etc) is a further risk.
At the start of the season, with Adam, Carroll, Downing Henderson, Enrique, a lot of you were probably thinking we would do well.
The only big question I think there is now. Do we get rid of kenny for next season, or risk giving him another wadge of cash to spend in the summer. Only name I personally would replace him with is Rafa. After all, he only left due to gillette and Hicks didnt he.

If we get rid of kenny in the summer, then it has to be a fresh start with a young manager who we can back long term
