Just played the vid link found on the below - i'm with Kenny all the way.

You can all brown nose the players and call for KK's head but too many players let the club down this evening and didnt play for the badge on their shirt - kenny aint FULLY to blame for that.

Poor performance tonight from those on the field of play - and they must take a share of the blame.

How can Bellers run his socks off but no other player have that ability.

I aint got any issues with KK right now, we aint going to perform in everygame, thats life, but we're progressing and with two or three new faces next summer we can nail top 4.

And then from there we then aim for top 2 etc ect.

strong words from kenny therem but dont seem to be the rant at the press that was reported...never trust the press lol.

lets hope Kenny stick to his words.....bt only a few days to sell them , all good saying they will not play for the club again but who are you going to buy to take there place Kenny? have you been given the money to buy a whole new team?

The problem is the players that Kenny is berating is those he signed. If he has decided enough is enough then fantastic. Move them on... and start again.

Chalie Adam (sweet left foot yes but barely features in games), Downing (lacks belief at this level), Carroll (no comment), Henderson (work in progress, should be a sub and allowed to develop).

The one i would certainly let go is Carroll for although the others are playing poorly at least they fit in with our method of play. Don't think any major developments will happen in this window though as there aint much time. Fully expect to see a clear out in the summer.

Finally a manager that says it how it is.  The players need to finally take some responsibility they can't be okay with all these fecking draws and losses, no goals etc etc.  25 goals in 22 games it's a joke.  I'm relieved Kenny came out and had a go at them, if he hadn't I would worry about where we are really going as a club.  Unfortunately his signings are obviously the ones at fault for this, he was backed to the hilt in the summer and he has to take some of the blame for what is going on right now.  Adam does not fit in whatsoever right now and doesn't deserve a place in the starting XI.  Downing is so meak and has no confidence it makes me a bit sick at times with him.  Henderson is fine for me, work in progress has a lot to learn still.  Carroll is still off and on but there are a lot of things contributing to his ineffectiveness imo.

In the end I think Adam isn't going to work out, he doesn't seem to be learning anything at all right now and is getting worse and worse without Lucas to make up for his mistakes.  Downing may have a chance if he finally gains some belief and Carroll is up in the air, for Carroll to be effective our players need to get their :censored: together or else he'll never pick it up.  Carroll relies on the team to get the ball to him in positions to score and right now we're fecking abysmal at it.  I hate seeing us send blind stupid crosses into the box over and over again, most of the time the players don't even look up to see who they're crossing to.

For Carroll to be effective we have to play like Stoke, and guarantee mediocrity. No thanks.

If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds he'd have put grass up there.

just got home. can't be bothered reading through the thread as everything i want to say has probably already been said.

like most, when i saw the lineup i was actually encouraged by what i saw. looked very attacking. what i didn't account for was how we set up. gerrard and adam in a two is just suicidal as neithere will track any runners as was seen with the first two goals. gerrard was so deep he was virtually a third centre half at times.

you can argue till the cows come home about whether players are good enough. what can't be excused is the attitude of certain players out there today which was nothing short of a disgrace. i heard kenny rollocked them after the game? just off to find that interview now.

Yeah, the setup was awful and I was almost sure we were going with three in the middle when I saw the lineup.  The words Kenny got it wrong have been said too many times for my liking this season.  He wasn't the one primarily at fault for the result though so I won't be too critical but he can't play Adam and Stevie together in a midfield of 2 like that again.

Gerrard has to be utilised higher up the pitch, especially when we're struggling to score goals. He's our best attacking player along with Bellamy whilst Suarez is out. I don't want him picking the ball up off the centre halves and trying to launch hollywood balls from deep. It's bad enough seeing Adam spraying hollywood balls out of play all the time.

We need to buy a proper out and out defensive midfielder in this window imo. The space between the midfield and the defence was gaping at times which is where we miss Lucas big style. Spearing is a big miss at the moment aswell.

There's a general lack of leadership throughout the whole side infact at the moment.

We are utter shyte tbh and Dagger knows it. Trouble is he brought this unit together. Something has to change one way or another and for me its rip this group up, admit defeat, and start over. I want Dalglish to move us on but he has to up his game and be brave now, he also has to get his signings bang on. We can ill afford any more mistakes in the transfer market. Its just not good enough.

2002 is known as a terrible year of signings by us but im beginning to think 2011 is working out worse. Here is the lists, what do you think?

2002

El Hadji Diouf - £10,000,000
Salif Diao - £4,700,000
Alou Diarra - Free
Patrice Luzi - Free

2011

Jordan Henderson - £16,000,000
Charlie Adam - £7,000,000
Stewart Downing - £20,000,000
José Enrique - £6,000,000
Sebastián Coates - £6,000,000
Craig Bellamy - Free
Luis Suárez - £22,800,000
Andy Carroll - £35,000,000

Who said buying British would give us the heart back and we all knew at least they would adapt to the prem. Englah players are massively over hyped and even more over priced. Adam seriously would not look out of place in a pub side and Carroll on the side line in an ice cream van. I just can't believe we paid 35m for him. The team we had a few years ago in Alonso, Masch, Hyppia and Torres is very much missed and Rafa to a certain extent.

Both really bad imo.

2002 was shocking because we were in a much stronger position to begin with having finished second the previous season. We only needed 2-3 players to really strengthen the side but insanely decided not to sign Anelka and wouldn't meet Blackburn's valuation of Duff. Diouf and Diao weren't even scouted properly and were brought off the back of a few decent games in the World Cup.

For me this summer has worked out 50/50, irrespective of how much players cost. Bellamy and Enrique have been good signings and Coates and Henderson will go on to be really good players. Adam has been very much hit and miss and Downing and Carroll have been nothing short of poor. I still struggle to see what the buying strategy was. What style of football are we looking to play? If we're looking to play one touch pass and move stuff then Carroll, Adam and Downing are completely alien to this sort of football because they slow the play down.

Did I not say this last week that the players have any attitude problem and I got shouted down??

Welcome to reality folks.

And those who say the players must take 'some' of the blame - grow up, they take ALL the blame.
