Its a huge concern and one I've had before the season even started. If we want to be getting the best out of our players surely some consistency in terms of selection and role would go some way in achieving that.
I'm not going to get into other areas that have been discussed to death but I'll just say this, the sooner we get the best 11 out on the pitch on merit rather than price tag the better.

Where have i heard this before......

Absolutely pathetic...

For me it all comes down to Dalglish. He has not found the best way for this team to play and best way to align the team following Lucas' injury.

He has been unable to figure out how best to play to the strengths of Caroll without simply lumping long balls into the box.

At multiple levels he is making and repeating mistakes.
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

When he came in last season he could do no wrong, but it seems after a few summer signings we have gone backwards and will probably end up finishing in 7th or 6th at best. Someone quoted Daglish as saying this won't be a busy transfer period for us. I hope to :censored: god he was joking as we really need an injection of talent.

No we don't need him walking mate. But come season end if we finish 6th or worse I think his position will need looking at. Now no one was expecting us to seriously get back in the top 4 after this summer but at times we actually look worse than last season. Considering the money we have spent it's not good enough. Whether the axe needs to fall on both Dalglish and Comolli I don't know. But I know John Henry can't be too pleased at the moment.

I'm afraid Daggers is raising more questions about ability to manage in today's game than he is answering
To much tinkering for the sake of it on most occasions.
If this keeps up I can see him being pushed upstairs in the summer
Play the best 11 every-time its possible, get a system going.
And the best 11 should not include Kenny's m8 Adams

the John Henry thing is a bit of a worry to tell you the truth, i am sure he had it in his head that we would be in the top 4 this season.
i know some fans are hung up on the Andy C £35mil buy but when you look at it we only had 12hrs to buy a striker and at the time (with 12hrs left ) he was the best there was, and at that late stage you are always going to pay more.

There was no real pressure on Kenny when he came in after Roy. Most fans were happy to see the club given stability after H&G and a mid table finish was seen as OK by many, me included.

However, this season is different. This season Kenny was expected to rebuild and the board backed him (as they did in Jan) with a lot of money. Unfortunately Kenny’s done the same thing he did at Newcastle...spent huge sums of cash on  sh!te.

To make matters worse, Kenny seems out of touch with modern football. He lacks the dynamism needed in the modern game to react to changing situations....take today, why didn't Kenny tell Gerrard to play DM, when it was obvious Bolton were running through our central midfield?  Why didn’t Kenny change our formation...our approach?  Everyman and his dog could see our tactics weren’t working...yet Kenny did nothing.
Bolton are an AWFUL team and they’ve also recently sold their best player...yet they walked all over us.  Why?  Because they knew how we were going to play and set up their team accordingly.
This can’t go on and the most likely outcome will be Kenny be forced to step down and walk away from LFC for good. It’s sad, but as i predicted because Kenny has been out of the modern game far too long and it was never going to work

Question is now does Henry give him anything to spend in this window or wait till the summer?

you do know that theres a very high chance that if Kenny steps down right now or new manager might be Jamie Carragher.
can you see him being given money to spend right away?

he can't do any worse....we're in freefall and are back in the same position as we were under Roy.

I really hope that doesn't happen mate. No offence to Carra but he needs to spend some time learning the ropes, maybe even go out and manage a lower league club first. Henry is trying to plot our way back to the top of the table so experimenting with a someone who is still playing isn't the way to go imo.

If it transpires that Kenny leaves Henry will bring in someone else of his own choosing. As far as money goes we could really use a new striker or 2 right now but I just can't see us buying anyone.
