As a matter of interest, when did you become a liverpool fan and what was it that attracted you to the club in the first place?
I am genuinely not trying to pick a fight, but you seem to highlight that you are someone who picked up on the club after its' golden era. Am curious how this experience today differs from then.
Thanks in advance
1991.. oddly enough in Kenny's last game (4-4)
Not blinded by someones status for one. Kenny is beyond reproach for many. What Kenny Dalglish did 25 years ago shouldn't enter your head when making an assessment about him in 2012. I read a comment after the Stoke game... "sorry guys and i know its Kenny, but he got that wrong today", sums up the bias. "I KNOW ITS KENNY".. as though any critique has to be justfied.
I should state, i am 100% behind Kenny. Not once have i questioned his position, merely the 70 million outlay on poor british signings. The main annoyance comes from his underachieving this season. Where we were at Fulham last season, we should have maintained. It was like the red arrows that night, wave after wave of attack, great interplay.. Suarez, Meireles, Maxi (add Gerrard, Bellamy, and a genuine world class 35m striker to that).. and suddenly you are looking at a very potent line up. When you stick a slow foward with poor control, Carroll, much of that play goes out the window, as happened this season at Fulham.

We are a class above the rest because of the traditions we have at our club, and because we have people like Kenny Dalglish leading our club. I'd much rather be a club who finishes 5th or 6th every season, but keeps our same traditions and respect then turn into one of those clubs. I don't like us spending so much money, and not because the players are good or bad. I don't want us to win anything because we bought it like chelsea and city have done. I don't want all these new bandwagon fans that disrespect the traditions of our club and don't understand where we come from and why we are who we are... They just demand results, and that's why there's so much more pressure at city and chelsea now. All their fans (and owners) just demand results and they don't care what they have to do to get them.

there seems to be a few 'get rid of Kenny now' shouters on here but Kenny brings a stability to the whole club. The team may be in and out of form, up and down on performance levels but the club as a whole, the whole package, is by far more stable than it has been for 20 years.
that is worth a lot, a real lot. there must be loads of teams who would give anything for club stability.
Leave off Kenny, he's doing what he can and what he believes is right.

he's pele compared to the 35 million we've blown on Carroll, who's on par with Voronin.....and 20 million on Downing who's a poor man's Babel....
There's nothing wrong with questioning the club's leadership, and while some want to pretend it's 1989, others are happy to question the grade A f*ck ups our management have passed under their watch. Personally, i'm staggered at the mess our squad is in and the lack of direction.
8 defenders in a squad against Stoke? yeah, no problem...letting the entire squad (and manager) wear Suarez t-shirts after our player is accused of being a racist? sure...why not.
I dont want kenny sacked, but i want accountablility and direction shown by him. Not smart quips to the press and looks of dispair on the sidelines

I agree with you at some level ethanr. But an important tradition of lfc is also success. I can do without success if it were to come at the cost of sacrificing our principles. I'm not happy in spending massive amounts of money on players either. It actually disgusts me that recently our only approach to bringing in lfc standard players has been to simply poach the best players in the premier league at huge sums from teams below us in the financial pecking order.
But if not success, I do demand that we stick to a philosophy of playing football the proper and elegant way, and we nurture young talent and take risks on that front.

How the hell have we managed to be so high up the table and be challenging for a CL spot and one game away from a final when our club and team is so poor as you suggest !!!
