If Kenny get sacked in the summer then we have offically become Newcastle .

I agree with some of what you say, next signing has to work and some of the selections have been baffling to say the least.

Playing Kuyt up front was a mistake, his goal scoring record this season is awful, it only works if midfield get up and support, and they didn't.

John Henry has been very quiet of late, with the money spent and the lack of quality still evident, it wouldn't surprise me if he was reluctant to bring new players in at the moment.

If KK gets sacked and Rafa returns its curtains for LFC.
We will be on par with Villa and sunderland

Sacking Kenny is not the answer although I do feel like Kenny, Comolli and the owners should sit down and discuss our transfer policy if they haven't done so already.

We need to be signing more players for the present and maybe looking outside England a bit more IMO.

Why should we ?

We arent going to be able to compete with City etc in the present - we have to look towards the future .

And there have been plenty of foriegn imports into the prem that have been major duds .

With home grown and nationality rules coming into force more we need to look for young englsh players

Build for the future not just instant success.

Why should we ?

We arent going to be able to compete with City etc in the present - we have to look towards the future .

It's like I said before. We dodn't have a defined system or style of play. We need to decide what we want to do with Suarez when he returns. Either we tell him to play more through the middle and stop drifting out wide too much or we play him as a number ten and sign a proper man to lead the line. As you say neither Carroll or Kuyt are anywhere near mobile enough to play upfront on their own.

We need to get Gerrard much higher up the pitch aswell. He hardly goy anywhere near the oppositions penalty area on Saturday which is a complete waste. Mind you that goes for the whole midfield. We don't commit enough men forward full stop. Apart ffrom Gerrard against Newcastle I can't recall the last time a midfield player actually ran pat the forwards.

I have a feeling the owners will be patient .

It's the fans that will be the problem.

also agree with this. Patience is absolutely key here, after falling out of the CL places getting back into them was always going to be difficult especially with City and Utd as shoe-ins. Chelsea are usually in there but are having a difficult period while Spurs are proving to be a little better than people anticipated. Competition is pretty tough and given the last two years we've had, I'm surprised people are getting impatient already. We'll be there or thereabouts come May I'm certain of that, 4th is a big ask though. Would snap your hand off for fourth and the league cup though, that would cap a great season

There was always loads to do with the squad as well, a lot more was needed than two transfer windows anyway, hopefully we address a little more this January

Not as embarrassing as fielding 8 defenders in a squad to play Stoke at Anfield and wasting the best part of 100 million on sh!te.

You say we risk becoming newcastle...well kenny has done that. he's transformed us into the Sh!t toon team he managed in the 90s with negative tactics and average dross

I genuinely thought with Kenny in charge people would at least have the respect to say things in a more constructive manner when being negative

Henderson looks like there's promise there for me, I quite like the lad anyway and playing on the same pitch as Stevie will only help. Adam has been good so far as well

I'll give you Downing and Carroll but I can see the argument for bringing Downing in, him and Young made that Villa side and how disappointing he's been wasn't foreseeable imo. Carroll on the other hand...

Everything starts with being hard to beat, we're half way there. If chucking Kenny means changing the backroom including Steve Clarke there's no fookin chance I'd let him go. Kenny's been here a year and it feels like a completely different Liverpool already. I'm confident with the foundations we have in place that the only way is up

We beat Stoke last season with the same formation ( even had an extra defender on the pitch ) , bet you didn't cry and throw toys out when he did it then.

So you obviously want him out !

Who will replace him and how long would be get before your typing away that he should be fired !

Ps- Kenny took Newcastle to 2nd place I think .

"need to sign more players"... what we need to do is sign good players. We already signed plenty, they just havent been good enough.

I hear what some are saying in that we sack Kenny we have become Newcastle (managerial merry-go-round scenario). Kenny makes another batch of signings at the level of Carroll, Downing and Henderson, and we will become Newcastle.

Theres no way he will survive another poor transfer outlay. Houllier messed up just once (summer 2002) and that was the end of him.

We judge Kenny on what he is doing in 2011, 2012... not what he did in 1986, 1987.
