whoever he plays against next he's only going to play a half. I highly doubt he has 90 minutes in him. Brighton would be ideal

Whenever it is, it will be a massive boost to the players around him.

If i was Hendo, Downing, Adam, the excitement of playing alongside Steven Gerrard.....................................

Cant wait for him to link up with Suarez for a prolonged period

Won't be easy though. Brighton are playing bloody good football under Poyet.

Pre-season Tottenham were chasing shadows for the first half of the friendly.

Even if Gerrard only plays a half against Brighton, it'll be a hard workout!

would have him on the bench for Brighton and bring him on for the last 20 mins. Need to ease the lad back, because we'll need him 100% fit to help us get back into the top 4

Hope they haven't been lying about his fitness and I hope to see him start from the bench against Brighton.

I guess Adam can go on holiday now... :p Might even see Carroll become more useful with Gerrard on the pitch.

You know, yesterday I re-watched the Liverpool 2005 DVD and oh boy how explosive Steven Gerrard was in the season we won the CL, and how lucky we were he ended up deciding to stay, we wouldn't have won it that year without him, SERIOUSLY!

A fit Steven Gerrard will get us back to the CL

looked fit and comfortable today. Wouldn't start him against Wolves tho, but keep on the bench and introduce him around the 65th min mark to get more match fitness

Unless we go 2-0 down after 15 mins then bring him on straight away  :D

Think those days are past him mate. Maybe it's down to the injuries piling up or age but he used to knock in 25/30 strikes for fun. If he had someone as good as himself in the holding role then he could always go forward and we probably would see more goals. But Lucas, Adam and Spearing are nowhere near good enough so he will probably end up always having to track back.

Have to admit a few games back and towards the end of last season I think the team didn't rely or need Gerrard's  ability. Perhaps it was the honeymoon period of Suarez taking the Prem by storm and sugarcoated the lack of quality in midfield.

We need Gerrard back in midifeld ASAP in my opinion, can't wait to see him play and boss the midfield again. Have to admit, Adam and Henderson haven't hit the ground running and all in all we're atm stilll a mediocre unit in midifeld.
