Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Ya I expect us to play a 4-4-2 with Hendo and Lucas in the middle, Kuyt on the right.  Possibly even a 4-3-3 with Lucas in the middle, Hendo on the right and Kuyt up top, but Hendo did well in the middle.

We're fine.

Plenty of options, Bellamy could play on the right too.

I said it in another thread somewhere... but its Murphy's law!

We sell Raul and leave ourselves a bit short and of course someone was bound to get injured...

I don't think Kenny thinks we are short, we have Lucas, Henderson, Spearing and Shelvey.
Gerrard and Adam injured.

Which combination out of those 4 he will use I am not sure, I think we could do with another top class midfielder at some point.

Shelvey shouldn't be anywhere near the first team

He's definitely out of the Scotland game, which is tomorrow.  That gives him another 4 or so days to recover.  He's not officially out yet, and he could very well be fit.

Lucas and Hendo can play in the center, or Hendo can play on the right and push Kuyt up in a 4-3-3.  Or even stick Bellamy in the 4-3-3, but we know Suarez will start and this is the perfect game for Carroll to help out all around.

We're fine.  I'm not worried at all as we have Spearing who can cover in case we need a cm coming on, but it's so easily shiftable if something happens.

was that aimed at me? What did I say that warranted that?

I backed wee Jay and predicted a media backlash on the back of selling Raul, :Oo:

ah, Meireles was by no means Mr consistent, would have been nice to have around at times like these but he wanted to leave so off you go. Simple as that imo

Don't think we should be worried, we still have options, with adequate back up too. Ok, the lads a great asset to us, but I'd rather him miss this one out and be fit for the next one than aggravate any niggle he might have. We "should" have more than enough to win the game with or without him.

let's just wait till its confirmed before jumping to any conclusions. Might just be pre-cautionary, Scotland don't have a lot to play for :D

True.  If I'm not mistaken it's an impact injury right?  Could very well be healed in time for Stoke.
