Yet another mixed performance from Adam today. Defensively hes terrible imo. Leaves the middle exposed and has dreadful tackling that doesnt help much. He's obviously more suited to playing higher up the pitch but Kenny seems to insist on playing him down the middle for some reason. He had a cracking attempt that ended up hitting the crossbar and a couple of good corners but failed to control the game or make an impact for the remaining time he was on the pitch.

It remains to be seen how Kenny plans to use him with Gerrard returning, but I'd really like to see Adam either dropped to the bench or played ina  more advanced role where he's not relied on as much for defensive cover.

totally agree aCe, he is too slow and when Gerrard came in, the passing and movement picked up.  Adam has a sweet left foot but isn't a well-rounded (no pun intended :D  ) midfielder to play against teams with a high tempo that will put him under pressure.

Until we establish ourselves as a dominant team and people sit back and park the bus all the time he is only going to shine in a 3 man midfield, even then he won't be THAT good.  He has too many weaknesses right now to be relied upon in a 2 man midfield.

Have to say I was willing to give the bloke some time (and still will) but his performances for us more often than not have infuriated me.

i dont understand his criticism, in his few games for his he has created more chances and scored more goals than Lucas ever did !

he whipped in the cross for Suarez on the first day against Sunderland, he scored against Bolton, his shot resulted in an own goal against Wolves, he hit the bar yesterday against Everton.
what more do you want ?

The thing about adams is that his best position is as a advanced attacking midfielder (playing just behind the striker). Thats where he played for blackpool and that is where he made his name.

But when you ask him to do a role as a pure central midfielder alongside lucas, he doesn't look comfortable at all. He simply isn't mobile enough to press the opposition players. The number of times opposition players go past him (and adams just lets them do it...holy cow) is baffling.

Adams inclusion in 4-4-2 central midfield is affecting the whole team. KK has to make a decision. We can't afford to carry passengers in the team (especially when carroll plays).

If we are to play adams..then lets do it in a 4-5-1 (3 men central midfield). If not ...bench him.

Lucas and Adams combo will be destroyed by anderson & fletcher.

You are asking way to little from a starting CM for Liverpool. Charlie shouldn't be a highlight type of player he should be able to influence the game in a consistant and positive manner through out the 90 minutes and not just a strike or pass here or their.

We can't and we must not settle for glimps of quality from ALL our players ,we need them to impact the game through out the games and for games in a row. This mentality of ,yes i hit the crossbar ,will not cut it if we are to succeed. He isn't a 17 year old trying to leave an impression. He needs to carry his weight every and each game. He as well as the others.

He's got rough edges and needs to mature into the role but he's proative, constantly buzzing. By teh end of the year hopefully he'll have settled down. Long term, key player. Lets me honest, the pieces of the jigsaw are beginning to fit into place.

Ya he did have a great game today.  To be honest, my motm.

Unfortunately he's only had 2 good games this season, the other against Bolton.  Need some consistency if he's gonna stay in the starting 11.
