If he was on say 20 grand a week then thats a different story .

just a case of differing priorities mate. I think the quality he has on the pitch is the most important and compared to the other dross there, he's head and shoudlers ahead imo.

What quality on the pitch mate ?

He hasnt shown any quality on the pitch - even maxi has popped up with some goals

As someone mentioned earlier he just looks slow and laboured now , and its all a result from his big injury .

Can you point to at least one performance or some highlight from the season where you can say - " yes thats the Cole i remember from years past "

Also imagine the player we could get with the 15 million we saved from Coles wages .

can't remember who it was against but I've said it once this season, yes only once

BUT I know what he's capable of, we've seen it before, much like the Chelsea fans are saying the same about a certain January signing, though we didn't spend £50m on ours

When did he last show what he was capable off ?

I cant remember once single instance this season in his 27 appearances

2 years ago maybe even longer than that - all before his very serious knee injury

That same as Torres who hasnt looked the same since his injuries .

We may not of paid a fee but that contract was worth 20 million ( not including signing on fee which was supposed to be 5 mil and bonuses )

Joe Cole is set to be axed by Liverpool after enduring a miserable season at Anfield.
The former England international has scored just three goals since he arrived on Merseyside on a free transfer last summer.

Cole, 29, was sent off on his debut in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal on the opening day of the Barclays Premier League season. And the former Chelsea man has made only seven League starts since.

Liverpool are said to want at least £10million for the former West Ham youngster.
