I know what you're saying about the dross Benny BUT if you had to list who you'd get rid of first and listed them in that order I don't think Joe Cole would be anywhere near the top. We might just go for the massive overhaul, my only worry in that respect is giving us too much to do in the summer and disrupting the perceived unity we seem to have at the moment

Well the ones that are going to go mate are the ones that arent involved and that includes Cole im afraid - he isnt involved and just sits on the bench and IMO isnt involved much in the team unity - its all about the new Liverpool and the future .

And Cole would be high on my list of dross needing to go because of his wages and lack of action.

If he was on say 20 grand a week then thats a different story .

just a case of differing priorities mate. I think the quality he has on the pitch is the most important and compared to the other dross there, he's head and shoudlers ahead imo.

What quality on the pitch mate ?

He hasnt shown any quality on the pitch - even maxi has popped up with some goals

As someone mentioned earlier he just looks slow and laboured now , and its all a result from his big injury .

Can you point to at least one performance or some highlight from the season where you can say - " yes thats the Cole i remember from years past "

Also imagine the player we could get with the 15 million we saved from Coles wages .

When did he last show what he was capable off ?

I cant remember once single instance this season in his 27 appearances

2 years ago maybe even longer than that - all before his very serious knee injury

That same as Torres who hasnt looked the same since his injuries .

We may not of paid a fee but that contract was worth 20 million ( not including signing on fee which was supposed to be 5 mil and bonuses )

i'd keep Cole and give him one more season and get rid of Maxi and Jovanovic.

Joe Cole is set to be axed by Liverpool after enduring a miserable season at Anfield.
The former England international has scored just three goals since he arrived on Merseyside on a free transfer last summer.
