90 grand a week to sit on the bench and be back up - crazy - get rid even if its for a free - it will say us 15 million in wages .

None of the other top sides will want him because he isnt good enough - he needs to be at a Fulham or a Birmingham or a West Brom

I would rather have someone like Suso or Silva or Sterling sat on the bench .

Benny's post makes sense... I've always liked Joe Cole... But not enough to pay 90k wage a week with him being not fit enough. Sell him and buy Charlie Adam.

We also need to buy Young. Carrol will be so much more dangerous with young providing the crosses. How bout we we offer Joe Cole and jovanovic for Young and agbanlahor?

look at Maxi, he has been so bad to the point some don't even know his surname and many looking forward to his departure but suddenly he pops out with 3 goals. keep Joe Cole, he will come useful in the future.

Future ?! he is reaching 30 now - there is no future in Cole - his better days are past him

90 grand to sit on the bench ? you really think that makes sense ?

Well my money towards buying shirts and tickets do help towards his wages yes and with no rules coming into force we cant afford to spend 90 grand a week to someone sat on the bench

You cant compare Carra and Cole in a million years - Carra has earnt his right to carry on playing and even this season has proved his worth

Maxi doesnt get paid 90 grand a week and has actually contributed to games this season .

90 grand a week means 20 million over 4 years - so we will continue to pay Cole 15 million in the next 3 years - thats 15 million we could put towards someone who can actually be worth something to the club

I reckon Steve Clarke may have a word to Kenny about Cole, whether he should stay or go like.

Did you see the reaction from both player and manager yesterday when he scored ?

Clarke has been there since jan with Kenny - i would expect if Clarke had some influence positively towards Cole he would of played more .

not if he's injured, prophet Muhammad wouldn't even be able to influence that, never mind Steve Clarke.

Hasn't he been on the match for about the last 8 weeks ?

Even when a spot became available for him yesterday the manager decided to go for Maxi ?

It's quite plain to see that Cole was a bad a signing as Poulsen , Konchesky and others and should be shipped out to enable us to get some true quality in and to free up wages and to let a youngster take his place in the squad .

I wouldn't sell Cole either. Strength in depth is going to be key. I'm all for selling our poorer players and yes, Cole is probably one of them, but we can't give ourselves too much to do in the summer (there are players here a LOT worse than Cole). Cole is good enough to come in when needed, we're going to need these types of players next season, same goes for Lucas

Perhaps his wages would help free up the wage bill and that may happen but pretending to know what Kenny thinks isn't really my forte.

How do you know Cole would have lasted 60, 70, 80 or even 90 minutes? Perhaps that's why Maxi started.

When you pay a player 90 grand a week you expect that player to be earning it week in week out - that's the sort of money you give a regular starter not someone to be part of a squad . We have young kids who IMO will provide a better back up than Cole .
