PEPE REINA - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby lakes10 » Tue Feb 08, 2011 11:10 am

i think it was clear sometime ago that if we was not in the CL next year big names were going to leave the club. but with Kenny beeing made manager with a 5 year contract i think most if not all will stay.

but when it comes to Reina that might not be the case, going back to the world cup he found it hard to get a place in the first team (and in my view he was the better player).

with a lot of the spain players now mixed over lots of teams he will need to be seen on tv in the cl to get that place in the team.

I dont feel that he would go to man u...why?

he is not silly and has just seen how the liverpool fans have acted when torres left.
yes i feel there s a chance that we could see him move to spain but i think he will give our club one more year before making his mind up.

most liverpool fans i talk to seem sure he will leave in the summer i hope they are wrong but just in case it might be a very good idea to pull him in for a chat and and going by what he say it might be a case we start looking for a new player.

If he wants to leave, then fine he can go in the summer, we wish him well and off he goes. BUT NOT TO THE MANCS!

You know what it pisses me off when I read players saying that fans ''won't understand'' the decision to leave, and that cr@p about ambition blah blah. The thing is they don't understand that there are consequences when you turn your back on the club the way Judas did. It is not that the fans are trying to force players to stay, its about giving the fans respect for the support they have given the players over the years, and players like Judas don't understand that. I'm sure Pepe was sticking up for his mate.

feck him all anyways

well there's a surprise.

liverpool start doing well again and all of a sudden a story blows up about our prize asset wanting to join our biggest rivals because his mate has just left.

will never happen.

Was listening to Talksport earlier, they were interviewing Roy Carroll. He was saying things along the line of Reina should go to the Mwanckers.

Bollox is what I think. Why would Reina go to the Mwanckers (our rivals?). Yes Reina wants to play in the CL, but don't all the players at the club!. Under the new leadership of KK,that can and will happen. Things are changing at the club for the better. Torres will rue the day he left Liverpool when we finish higher the Cheaski.

You know what, I reckon, old Whiskynose is getting worried about Liverpool FC and the clubs new sense of strenght, pride et al, and he's contacted all his mates to lay on a story to try and unsettle Liverpool. We are much stronger and tougher then that.

Btw, some have said that Reina gave KK a bearhug at the end of the Cheaski game, is this true ? I missed it....

This financial fair play rule cant come in quick enough.

When it does, it will bring down the ceiling on player wages, and will restrict club budgets so that they can only spend accordingly to their balance sheet. It will also stop the mercanaires using coded language such as "Win more Titles", "Play Champions League" which translates as "I want top money at another club".

Have to say, Kenny is really up against it with little spoiled mouthy feckers spouting off to the press at any oportunity.

Who'd want to be a manager in this day and age. The smile doesnt stay on the face for too long these days at Liverpool.

the press are ku.nts - everyone of em.

time they fuk'd off and started focusing on real life issues that are happening in the world.

they start sh!t spreading like this, the fans get twitchy, next thing Man U will put a testing offer on the table blah blah blah

the press are the ones who start the ball rolling EVERY single time. Well if I ever come face to face with a journalist or even spot one over the street he's gonna get swollen knackers. fuking scum of the earth.

TBH im not worried about this Manc story , because i dont think it will happen no way on earth would we do any buissness with them, so not ar,sed about this, but what i have in the back of my mind is Cech is on his way out to me he has lost his bottle , hes half the keeper he was an if you look at some of the goal mouth incidents on Sunday it shows this, there was one were he completly sh,it himself an you could see him panicing weather to come for the ball incase he collided , So dont be suprised with the other fella there if they come in for him in the summer, and put that clause into action, then it will be all down to Pepe to decide , But my money is on Chelsea replacing Cech and not the Mancs,

hasn't this story been going for over a year? ???

I'm sure he's been consistently linked with them since talks of VDS retiring and now that he is they're just going to bang on about it a bit more
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
