Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Aldo on twitter saying he reckons Kenny might have his work cut out trying to keep him. If that's the case then I say get him out sooner rather than later, if he does want to go. None of this end of the window bullshi.t again.

Once the summer comes we have a major rebuilding job to be getting on with so whoever isn't 100% committed to LFC can get to fk as far as in concerned. No player is bigger than the club, same goes for Pepe. We are playing utd soon too so hopefully he will say something before then.

Again, if any player is not happy here, let them leave at the right time but give us sufficient time to look for a suitable replacement. But I don't agree with selling him to Man U because the scum didn't want to sell G.Heinze to us at one time, so we should reciprocate unless he's prepared to pay us 50 million pounds. We can then use it to shop for a good goalie and a few more world class players.

If our rivals are so interested in our players, let them pay the exorbitant price for it and we use it to enhance our premier league ambitions.

It is who is in the managerial post that decides the club's destiny. I am more concerned about whether KK will still be in charge over the next few seasons than whether Pepe will want to remain/not.

Wor Pepe hasn't said anything people, let's not call him names. If he doesn't want to be here by all means leave, as long as he doesn't do it Fernando style I won't hold too many grudges. He's been a great servant for this club and tbh I think he's happy here no matter what the press sayd. It's all speculating because he's the last of the Spaniards that's all

As ever I plan to consider this nonsense paper talk until it proves otherwise.  Like many, I feel burned by the Torres betrayal and a bit jaded by the 'loyalties' of the modern footballer but I'll give Pepe the benefit of the doubt.  He's been a great servant of the club in his time and I refuse to think ill of him until he gives me absolutely no choice.

RT @bensmith_Times: @JimBoardman #LFC fans should be blaming a man with the middle names Mark Cecil for the Reina clause.

On the whole clause business im not in any way trying to deflect any blame from Purslow but was it not perhaps the clients (Pepe) wish to have the clause inserted? Likewise for Torres. I'd bet money on both of them wanting those clauses in there as a get out of jail card if things went to sh.it. Ok Purslow didn't have to cave and insert them but if he refused things might have gotten ugly and the both of them could have left a while back. Just saying...

Purslow done one good thing for the club, everything else was catastrophic.  Writing these clauses into top players contracts and appointing Roy when Kenny wanted the job are 2 of the most unforgivable mistakes.

I think Pepe will want to leave if Man U comes in with an offer in the summer. Look at what he's been saying in the media like he didn't blame Torres for leaving, he would like to play for teams in CL. People like to justify themselves for what they did. So Pepe here is saying things to justify his eventual departure from Anfield.

That is ok with to Lvp as long as he gives us sufficient time to look for a new guy.

He he wants out let him go, i dont even care if he goes to the mancs if thats what he wants. Well get a fortune for them more then what hes worth, especially if he goes to a rival. Well replace him and have plenty more to improve other areas. I think the same would happen that did with Torres, wed get two players that indivdually may not be as good (on thier day) but improve more with thier combined eforts.
