5th place - The race for Europe is on

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

It is possible, but unlikely.

Both Chelski and Spurs need to drop points and we need to remain unbeaten now.

Honestly I can see us going unbeaten now, we are a totally different team to only a few weeks ago, and add to that, the introduction of Carroll in a few weeks time, which will be new momentum just when we need it.

I don't see Chelsea and Spurs losing three games though.  I really hope I am wrong.

I fancy Arsenal for the league lookin at that. Utd have a shocking run in and the rest of the sides are too inconsistent, though away at Spurs on the last day of the season isnt probably a fixture they'd fancy in a title decider

If we dont get to 4th, I'll be happy if we pull Chelsea down with us :).

Anyway, the one against Spurs at the end of the season would be a great game, even greater if we are close to 4th at that time.

It's ours for the taking on current form!!!
Shankly on boardroom meetings - 'At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.'

.
I think I could sacrifice the scum winning the league if it meant we got 4th place

If is quite possible that the Jammy tw@ts could take 6 points off Chelski

We want spurs to go as far as possible in the UCL, that lot will get dazzled by the bright lights and probably take their eyes off the bread and butter

Let's do this

we have even a worse record at the bridge.. the last player to score there is Bruno Cheyro. but we did it, Kenny really inject a new belief in the team, imagine if the board isnt so short sighted and appoint Kenny before the start of the season...

4th place is on!
i see a potential conflict coming up with Abra and Ancelotti, abra wants torres to be in the starting but torres couldnt play in a 3 man attack with drobga and anelka, its too narrow.
hopefully this will cause friction within the team.

Wigan W
West Ham W
Man Utd W
Sunderland W
WBA W
Man City W

It will be very tough to win all of those games, theres alot of factors. Players can become arrogant and lose focus but i think we will get 5th. Spurs will be distracted by CL, hopefull Chavs will too. We have to play Spurs at home for the penultimate game of the season, that could be a biggy. Sunderland will be difficult of course but Suarez and Carroll will both be playing for that, and Sweet Carroll 9 will be dying to score against them. West Ham could be tough but they are weak defensively. WBA are only going to slide further after Di Matteo's sacking. As for Man Utd :;): Kenny will be raring to go for that one!!! Cannot wait :) Man City will be a very very tough game - the title race will have hotted up by that stage, they may drop out of it but they definitely want to be in the top four.

So lets focus on Wigan first and keep our feet on the ground - anything can happen, its football

Wasn't the last person to score at the Bridge Xabi Alonso back in 2008? Or Kuyt in the CL QF in 2009?

Our form with roy has just fecked us up bigtime. Soo many points lost under that clueless tw*at!

chelsea and spurs have a game in hand and if they win we will be 9 points behind them. Tough task which i think we will miss out by a few points.

lets not get too carried away. win the next 2 games first and get 6 points out of it. hope that Spurs, Chelsea and Utd drop points along the way. and Arsenal better not screw this up
