I really hope he is. If he went there my trus in overseas players would hit rockbottom
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Nah, I don't believe he'll even consider Manure.

BUT... if we don't improve and finish outside the top 4 next season also, Arsenal might be a possibility.

World class players have a tendency to want to play at the highest level and if we can't offer that they might look elsewhere.

Just as in any other club that isn't in the top 4.

If he wants to go then sell him. The clause must be 20M minimum so we would have plenty money to replace him.

Shay Given will be available in the summer? Not long term I suppose so if we are to go with the youngster why not Kasper Scmeichal of Leeds.

Pepe would be harder to replace than any other member of the team. Keepers of his quality are ten a penny.

He's not even said he wants out, so can't see why this is even been discussed, other than a report in a newspaper made for window lickers.

im sure he wouldnt go. no player in his right mind would wanna leave Liverpool at such an exciting time.

but if the worse happens and he does, then i guess a pretty solid GK whom we could replace him would be Szczesny of Arsenal. he really reminds of Peter Schmeichal the way he makes himself look bigger as the opponents are 1 on 1 with him.

After what's happened with Torres I won't trust another player again. Look how he talked and he fkd off.

Although as someone else mentioned with strikers that only have until late 20's at the top level where as keepers can go on into their early 30's easy. I think Pepe just wanted to see FSG show some balls in the transfer market, which they did emphatically.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I don't think you've got that right or am I missing something?

Either he's harder to replace than most -  in which case, keepers of his quality are most definitely NOT ten-a-penny or he's easy to replace so if he wants to go, ship him out, keepers of his quality are everywhere???

Anyway, I doubt Pepe's going anywhere.  He just signed a new contract a few months back.  Everything about the guy - his attitude on the pitch, his commitment, his comments in the media, his willingness to always back the club through hard times and sign new contracts, everything suggests he is one hundred times the man that that traitorous rent-boy was.  Pepe's staying.  Just the usual press speculation.  Forget it.  We're building a dynasty now and Pepe's a big part of that.

To start with I'm not the one insinuating that he's leaving or will leave. Secondly there isn't quality keepers everywhere in my opinion, your opinion obviously differs from mine and if in the eventuality he does leave we'll have a damn hard job on replacing him.

You obviously have a different outlook on this issue than I do regarding Keepers of Pepe's quality been everywhere.

I realise that and I sincerely hope he does not leave in the summer. However....we would get sh*t hot money for him if we did sell and, with plenty time to source a suitable replacement.
