Comments from alcoholic drug abusers are not really gonna upset me and who is Paul Merson to jugde players, he was average at the best of times.

glen_johnson
He was average at the best of times, the only reason he's on that show is coz he gambled all his money away. The clown!

  wow. this is one to keep an eye on.

Jihnson would be better off proving to Liverpool fans that hes actually worth a w@nk rather than getting into tweeting squabbles with Mongson

As many others have mentioned on this forum already we really ought to try Johnson out as a right winger - especially seeing as Kelly is doing very well at rb and should be allowed to stay in the team ahead of Johnson in that position atm. Johnson would also represent more of an out-and-out winger than what we currently have.

After the Blackpool display I seriously doubt he should be a footballer, let alone utilised as a winger ....

Mate he was playing LB, its hard playing out of position in sunday league so i cant imagine how hard it would be in the Premiership.

For the life of me i cant understand why he hasnt been played RW especially when we have players like Kuyt, Miereles and Maxi royally :censored: up that position.

I cant imagine that Kenny would see it as a risk, yet play him at LB where hes on his opposite foot most of the time and cant afford to make as many mistakes as he could at RW as it would lead to more goalscoring opportunities for the opposition

Johnsons bone idle and is unable to read the game at all. His positional sense is terrible and he just cannot sense danger nor cover it. Hes another one, been round a few clubs, bombed out in his biggest job at Chelsea and then found his level in a poor Portsmouth side where he looked decent. We dived in and bought him, the price was incredible but we paid it and it was a mistake. If we could get decent money I would sell him tomorrow but on his performances this season we would be lucky to get half our money back.

Absolutely
Ive just read what Mongson wrote in yesterdays star and although I think hes a pr'ick hes spot on about Johnson. Hes only saying what many reds are saying: that Johnson is sh'ite at defending and should be an attacking left mid. Johnsons reaction to criticism says a lot about him as a person.

I thought he did brilliantly attacking wise. Its harsh to criticize him today because he did try to create chances. If we had better players around him, you will see the best out of him.

nail on head, get him on the wing!!!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

That's what I was thinking as well.  Even Maicon and Alves would look :censored: in our team because we're just so static.  Id bet that Glen would be great in a team like Barcelona.

I have to admit Dalglish playing him on the left for the Blackpool game flummoxed me ,but I have to say he was  very  good in an attacking sense earlier against the Bitterz ...and better defensively than he has been for a long time ...so clearly Kenny has seen something there ...
