i think Bojan just signed a new contract.

NZogbia seems to have been in the EPL for ages. would he be considered homegrown?

Over at Wigan, Charles N’Zogbia – French-born and of Congolese descent – qualified as one of the Latics’ home grown players because Newcastle first brought him to England from Le Havre at 18, whereas fellow midfielder James McArthur did not meet the necessary criteria because he came through the ranks with Hamilton and did not move to England until the summer.

He is an explosive player- the type of player we badly need. Strikes me that we have plenty of players who pass the ball nicely but not so many that scare the beeeejesus out of defenders.

On the subject of who i'd like to see come in in January, i'd like to see a defensive midfielder and a flying left winger.

GK - Reina - sorted
RB - Johnson - sorted
CD - Carra/ Skirt/ Agger/ Kelly/ Kiri/ Wilson - all good enough for centre positions when available
LB - Aurelio/ Konch - not sure
CDM - NEED SOMEONE
CM - Meireles - sorted
CAM - Gerrard - sorted
LW - NEED SOMEONE
RW - Kuyt - sorted
FW - Torres (plus Ngog & Babel)
I've also been impressed with the work rate and effort of pacheco, shelvey, and spearing who all add to the squad.

Poss signings - i have seen we have been linked with many including Ashley Young, Bentley, Ireland, and Adebayor and i'd be happy to see them all arrive, but only Young fits into the two key areas i'd like to see improved.

Certainly left back and another striker though would also be good additions.

A world class winger

If we have to sign players without major investment, on low fees, or loan deals then these would do to give us more options till the summer when hopefully we will perhaps replace Roy and invest heavily,

going by some oter forums.....not to be named lol they say we have anything from 25 mil to 45 mil to spend.

sorry but can no see in truth in that, god yes i would love it to be true, i think we will spend about 12mil inthis window.
