Because he's a skillfull, fast WINGER. Something desperatley need. Not a striker that can play on the wing, not an attacking midfielder pushed wide, a winger.

We are getting linked with Elijiro Elia as well. He looks a good player.

N'Zogbia @ £8M - £9M represents far better value than A.Young IMO.

You could argue that N'Zogbia is having a better season than A.Young, doing better in a worse team and scoring more goals.

I am a fan so go get him Woy!

I would take N Zogbia over young, and at half the price makes it a no contest decision.
He has impressed me everytime i've seen him this season, what's his attitude like?

N Zogbia gets the thumbs up from me as does his team mate Rodellega (?). I also like the look of Elmander at Bolton. I think we could also do with a centre back and a left back (still). I like Shawcross at Stoke and there was talk of us signing Pranjic from Bayern last summer. Whatever happens we are sure to bring in some players this coming transfer window and the sooner the better as the squad is limited.

Top flight records beg to differ

Sturridge

2006–2009 Manchester City 21 (5)
2009– Chelsea         23 (1)

N'Gog

2006–2008 Paris Saint-Germain 18 (1)
2008– Liverpool                 52 (9)

Neither spectacular but N'Gog definitely has the better pro rata goal ratio

Both of their goalscoring records are poor but so early in their careers mean little anyway, and don't tell the full story. I also remind myself that some people even consider Darren Bent to be sh!t (I don't) and just take a look at his goalscoring record. Anyway, Sturridge has more ability than Ngog will ever have, it's just that Ngog wears red and Sturridge wears blue. Opinion, of course.

I actually have to agree... Sturridge is a player I have always rated as one with the ability to be a good striker ...he was very highly rated at City and thought of as one of their most talented youngsters ..... I watched him once in the FA Youth Cup ,and he was virtually unplayable
would be an excellent loan signing in my opinion

those stats aren't exactly comparable...

when you say sturridge has made 23 appearences, he's only made 10 starts, and only 2 of those in the league over the last 2 years.

Ngog has made 27 starts, 16 of those in the league over the same time period (2 years)

Sturridge's poor goal return at chelsea is only due to the fact that there are so many 10 minute cameos, where-as Ngog has had more time on the pitch and to play himself in to a bit of form

I'll turn that on its head and say that N'Gog was playing with a team that created a lot fewer chances than Chelsea, often being forced to act as a loan target man - a role he was clearly not built for physically
