Skrtels a rock of a defender and besides his very first game was brilliant until he got that nasty injury. Going on the World Cup and against Arsenal he looks like hes back 2 his old self which is IMO a top quality centre back. Dont know where the he isnt composed on the ball commenst come from

Good news, I like him he has been back to his best of late. I think he is our best defender when he plays like this.Lets keep Masch and we will be hard to beat this season.

Happy days

:)

I think this guy is a liability...I thought it last year and the start of his season this year has been no better...he's not good enough.
He has no awareness of where he should be in open play and in set pieces he looks lost...he finds himself 3 yards short and then charges in like a bull.

He has been lucky on occasion because he has not quite built up a reputation as a dirty player. The only thing saving him there is the fact that he is not a deliberately dirty player. He just cant time tackles or is usually caught out and desperation takes over. Not good enough for LFC.I'd have the Greek in before him tbh..........nothing personal Skrtel just worries me.I know everyone complains about Lucas but Skrtel IMO more destructive to the team.

Anyone think he is good enough to be first choice beside Carra?...or better still, one of our two 1st choice CBs when Carra hangs em up?.....I dont!

He has none of the fluidness of Hansen/Lawrenson for sure but he's a cheap solution til Bill Gates buys us.

my girlfriends favorite player is Skrtel.  Somehow that serial killer look is attractive? says a lot about me???

I like Skrtel.  He's a good worker and he's a consistent enough player.  Did a very good job for Slovakia during the world cup.  If it wasn't for him Italy would have gone instead of Slovakia.  He was scaring me with what he was doing in the box against WBA though, so as long as he sorts that we should be fine.  That pen he gave away against city- say what you like, Johnson was going down whether Skrtel touched him or not, he was falling before Skrtel touched him.  A dive in my opinion.

Skrtel is proving to be a liability. The sooner Agger and Carragher get back the better. His man-handling style of defending and his elementary mistakes are too much for me. He's costing us points we can't afford to lose.

Spot on. He has too many errors in him, and not enough ability to compensate.

I too agree with the above sentiments. Hope it is true Agger will be back soon so he can partner Soto for the time being.

he is a player that appears to get worse and more clumsy every time i see him.
Needs to be shipped out asap and should be last choice centre half.
When Agger is back fit if he is kept out of the team by Skrtel like he was at the start of the season then Roy will need slapping.

He has never been the same player since his injury - I would be happy to see him dropped in favour of Wilson or Kelly
