ROY HODGSON - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

One thing nobody has mentioned at the moment is Fulhams position in the league this season now Roy is not there.

Just off relegation they are.
Last season they only finished midtable but that was with a small squad that went all of the way to the final of the europa league.
They obviously dont have that distraction this season and are really struggling.
Although to be fair losing Zamora long term and the new lad Dembele wont have helped.
Sabre looks like a big lezzer

If you dont like someone, you look for any negative aspect which can justify your opinion. Its is the same for everyone. There is no mystery why those who dont like Hodgson rub their hands with glee every time he says something they can jump on. It bolsters the fact that "he doesnt get us" or that is "out of his depth".
I have never seen any manager dismiss his opponents before a game because he knows it will probably bite him on he ar'se. (I do remember Benitez calling the bitters a "small club" and regretting it after they beat us)
Roy does say some silly things, granted, but to kick off at everything he says is childish and ignorant.
As Ive said before it must be a terrible dilemma for those who want rid of him when we win games...

Which if I'm to be completely honest is infinitely better than missing the bus ....The current manager is not good enough for Liverpool Football Club ....but for the sake of your argument lets say the current incumbent is simply feeding the media a line ...lets say that was the case ......take the following scenario ..
If Roy is saying to the players in the privacy of the dressing room the complete polar opposite to what he tells  the press ....then why isn't it working ....why is it lost in translation ...

how isnt it working? top 3 home record, 2nd best in last 6 games, going up league, only a few points from 4th.. give the guy a chance. Lets see how we do today before sacking him, giving him 5 million, then giving bolton 5 million, and Coyle a contract, before you change your minds again and want someone else

Are you being serious Daws ...How isn't it working ?
because we have already lost 4 away games and each one with a dreadful display with no heart ,no fight , no game intelligence, and the manager who you and others advocate has been devoid of anything bordering on an idea .... that's why
The Premiership has been decidedly poor this season with Chelsea and Arsenal dropping points, and the likes of Man City struggling to gel  ....so I suppose we can thank our lucky stars we our only a few points off a Champions League place ...but 5 defeats this early in the season doesn't bode well towards securing that place ... we have played 14 games and we have 19 points come on be honest with yourself mate .....

But he did. He had to replace Mascherano and it was agreed on here before Roys appointment we needed a left back.

We had a left back and a midfielder who could do Macherano's job. He bought Merelies, a holding midfielder also, but for some mad reason, Uncle Roy plays him wide ride as a makeshift winger. He sent two perfectly capable players out on loan and replaced them with two of the biggest puddings I've seen since Diao and Diouf.

i dont believe we have a benitez situation here, didnt we add a clause that any new owners could give him 28days notice if desired?

Roy need to go. I'm not as upset at the result but two incident got me really upset. 1. No reaction from him when Carra was hurt and didn't even ask anyone to be ready. 2. When lenon scored, he just sit there and sulk. Should get another forward in or babel to try to get even. Not to mention he should have brought in some fresh leg a lot earlier as maxi wasn't helping defensively. He was out of gas. Roy is not professional at all. WTF.

Is this a joke? Roy did everything 100% today, what did you want him to do Cuddle Carra?

As has been said, doesnt matter what he does, with fvucktards like you anywhere near the club hes got no chance.

Im not Roys biggest fan but comments like that are ridiculous.
