I dont like Merson he is solely employed by Sky to be the obligatory Court Jester ,but that said the Guy could play football ,I see no sense in refuting that fact ....he was a gifted player swallowed up by his need to over indulge .... Johnson will seriously need to raise his game ...Dalglish will not let the grass grow under his feet if he feels the need to get rid ....

i'd just drop him full stop,feck all this cr@p about putting martin kelly at right back & push johnson into midfield. johnson needs to be dropped,to show him that the likes of him neeed to prove themselves worthy of wearing the famous red shirt!
