This reminds me of how we played 2 years ago. So much energy from the lads and on any given night the fans really can make the difference at Anfield for us and we can beat anyone.

expect drogba on second half - their attack will be a different proposition altogether then. but we need to keep this going and not sit back. our midfield is outplaying theirs thanks to some serious industry and a little panache from lucas and meireles, so as long as we keep it tight at the back we should win this. i said in the starter we'd win this 2-1, but i'm going out to 3-1 now. torres for the hat-trick.

Fantastic first half

Gerrard and Lucas are running the game and we are closing everything down and playing as a team, its only half time but we have been brilliant so far

The Torres second goal was sensational

King I dont think anyone doubts his talent. Its his injuries and petulance that raise eyebrows but as a footballer the lad is in the Worlds Best 11 side. When he plays like today hes untouchable.

! When we play with this sort of energy about the pitch we're VERY difficult to beat and our starting 11 can STILL beat anyone we just haven't had the confidence within the squad in a REALLY long time. Hopefully this can really get the ball rolling for us.

We need to keep playing as we are, presing high up and giving them no time.
If we start dropping deep and sitting our midfield on the defence we could be in trouble.

I expect Drogba on for the second half lets hope Carra and Skrtel can deal with him.

I'll be amazed if Lucas lasts 90mins the lad has not stopped running he must be fecking shattered. Just need a bit of composure from the back line and we're home.
